Wow... 30 Years of A.R.Ts Afternoon... 20 years of Pulse of the Place... We will be celebrating.. Announcements and a whole host of things are coming your way... We will be at Port Seton gala this weekend!

The Taxi Drivers Outing is a celebratory Day that creates a special experience for young people with additional needs. This year, Pulse of the Place were to participate to help create a carnival atmosphere by accompanying the Taxis on a open top bus. The bus and driver has very generously offered for our use by Lothian Buses. We hope the event will go ahead and a new policy from National Police is not implemented without a suitable and suffcient impact assessment. This clearly as an impact on young people with disabilities and therefore the policy could be seen as disability dicrimination.
We sincerely hope that Police Scotland and The City of Edinburgh Council will find a way to ensure this long standing event in the Edinburgh calendar will go ahead, highlighting Edinburgh and Scotland to be positive about disability.
We have written to and received positive replies from the Lord Provost Cllr Robert Aldridge, Chris Murray MP, Ian Murray MP, Dr Scott Arthur MP and Ben Macpherson SNP for Edinburgh North Eastern and Leith

The Edinburgh Taxi Drivers Outing is a fabulous day out for the children who are invited along as well as all the taxi drivers who decorate their vehicles and members of the public who enjoy the spectacle. Wishing all at Tartan Parade Scotland and World Fair Trade Tartan a fabulous parade on Saturday. Disappointed not to be there this year but due to lack of funding and focussing on Pulse of the Place’s 20th Anniversary it has not been possible. We will miss seeing you Gail Porter..
