The House of Hope Scotland

The House of Hope Scotland ‘The House of Hope’ will be a permanent community-based support and wellbeing centre specifically for those impacted by breast cancer.

House of Hope is a dedicated well-being and support centre for those impacted by breast cancer.

🎭 The Big Variety Benefit for Cancer | 9th Oct 2026, Edinburgh | Tickets: https://www.ticketsource.com/bbdproductions Located within Edinburgh, the centre will provide a haven for users to access funded wellbeing and holistic therapies and services away from the sterile hospital or clinical setting. Th

e centre will offer tailored educational advice on lifestyle choices specific to their diagnosis with breast cancer. One woman is diagnosed every 10 minutes with breast cancer in the UK. The NHS do not have the operational resources nor funding to provide additional holistic care and support for breast cancer patients in and around Edinburgh. This is where The House of Hope will fill the void within Edinburgh and the surrounding area.

As we near the end of Volunteers' Week, we're celebrating the incredible people who give their time to support the House of Hope.

A huge thank you to Anna and her team from Heineken who recently spent time with us helping around the house. In this reel, Anna shares a little about what they got up to and why supporting the House of Hope was important to them.

Whether it's gardening, organising, cleaning, supporting events or lending a hand wherever it's needed, our volunteers help make the House of Hope the welcoming place it is.

To Anna, her team, and every volunteer who has supported us over the past year – thank you. We couldn't do it without you! 💜

If you'd like to volunteer with us, we'd love to hear from you. Visit our website to find out more:

Breast cancer in your 20s, 30s or early 40s can feel very different to later in life.
Different conversations. Different pressures. Different things going on around you.

Our Younger Women’s Yoga session is a space to slow down, move gently and connect with others who get it.

Led by Meagan, whose own experience of breast cancer shapes the calm and supportive approach she brings to every class, this session blends mindful movement with time to breathe and reset.

416 people are already supporting the House of Hope through the Co-op Local Community Fund! 🙌

Our goal is to reach 1,000 supporters by the end of the year, and every new supporter helps make a difference.

When Co-op Members choose the House of Hope as their local cause, Co-op donates to us every time selected products are purchased, at no extra cost to you.

The funding helps us continue providing wellbeing sessions, holistic therapies and community support for people living with and beyond breast cancer.

Already a Co-op Member? You can choose House of Hope in the Co-op App in just a few taps.

Charlie is a familiar face at House of Hope events, often coming along to support.

This time, he decided to do something a little different and shaved his head to raise money for the House of Hope. 💛

With his family all taking part in the big haircut, there were plenty of laughs, a few "ouch" moments, and a lot of hair on the floor by the end.

We’re so grateful to Charlie, Erin and the whole family for their support.

If you’d like to support Charlie’s fundraiser, you can donate here:

This week’s Thank You Thursday goes to Hannah Howie!

Some of us from the House of Hope had the chance to attend performances of Funeral for My B***s at the Assembly Roxy the other week and see firsthand the humour, honesty and heart behind Hannah's show.

Alongside raising awareness of the House of Hope through the production, Hannah also kindly supported us with collection tins during the run. Thank you to everyone who donated - we raised over £1,000!

And of course, thank you Hannah for using your platform to open up important conversations in such a bold, funny and memorable way. 💛

What a day for Team MZ26! 👏

A huge congratulations and thank you to the 65 walkers and runners who took on 10K through the heart of Edinburgh in support of The House of Hope.

MZ26 10k Charity Page is a group of Heart of Midlothian supporters who hold an annual 10K in memory of former Hearts captain Marius Zaliukas, raising money for charity and bringing people together for a fantastic cause.

From St Giles' Cathedral to Tynecastle Plaza, every step helped raise vital funds to support people impacted by breast cancer.

Together, the team has raised more than £19,000 so far – and the total is still growing!

Thank you to everyone who took part, donated, cheered from the sidelines and supported the team along the way. We couldn't be more grateful. 💙
