Located just a few minutes from Edgware Station, we’ve been running Scouts here since 1929! We’re all about outdoor adventure, skills for life and social activities for young people in around the local area. Check out our website for more details and how to get involved: www.edgwarescouts.org.uk
Get set to make new friends, have fun and go on adventures. Scouts is about exploring the world around
us, helping others and making a difference in our community. Our weekly meetings consist of a mix of teambuilding games and activities, ranging from cooking and crafts, to fire lighting and film making. In line with Youthshape Scouting, our programme takes inspiration from our young people – the kind of skills they want to master, the badges they want to earn and the activities they want to try out. Outside of the weekly meetings we run a variety of events across the year, including hikes, day trips and of course plenty of camps! Did you know... 2nd Edgware Scout Group is entirely run by volunteers. We are parents, past Scouts, friends, neighbours and other adults who believe young people should be taught life skills and have opportunities for adventure! Volunteering at Scouts is fun, flexible and incredibly rewarding. Whether it’s joining in as a leader with the young people each week, or taking on some of the behind the scenes roles on a less frequent basis, Scouting very much relies on volunteers. Take a look at our website to start your adventure today!

Was it waking up to a cooked breakfast outdoors and ending with marshmallows on a fire? Maybe the games and site activities that challenged us to a new experience? Perhaps it was all the free time to explore the site and hang out with friends around nature? Or maybe those warm patrol cabins to sleep in?
Whatever it was, something kept 17 tired, but happy faces going all weekend, despite the rain. Well done Cubs and Scouts on a brilliant autumn camp!

We've been enjoying a visit to the brand new Scout Adventures museum at Gilwell Park. It's been interesting to see all the old badges and uniforms on display (and a nice warm activity to keep out the rain whilst camping!)

Thank you to all our Scouts and parents who came to Edgware's Remembrance Sunday event, and a special mention to Zac and Jakub who were guards of honour, and to Kuba for carrying the flag.
It's always a special few hours to remember with the local community.

Some of our older scouts braved the cold and wind to wake up to this view over London. Pitching tents at Gilwell Park, they've been on an expedition which involved exploring the history of The Scouts HQ. We can't wait to hear all about their journey back at scouts in a few weeks...

As part of their Animal Carer badge, two of our Cubs brought in their dogs and ran a pet workshop. They taught us all about looking after dogs, and some even faced their fears to feed and play with them!
