A message to all Ladies in Eckington. Just to let you know that WI organise a coffee morning to be held every month just for us to have a really good natter and a laugh. There is no WI business, it’s just a social occasion for all women whether they are WI members or not. We call it our ‘Social at the Local’. The reason for this is that we alternate from the Anchor, the Bell. and soon to include the Manor. For the Bell and the Anchor it is held on the second Tuesday of the month, so this coming Tuesday 8th September it will be held in the Anchor at 11am. We usually stay around one hour and thoroughly enjoy our gathering and it was lovely to have some new ladies join us last month at the Bell. Why don’t you pop along and join us at the Anchor? If you can’t make on this Tuesday, we hope to see you next month at our ‘Social at the Local.

On Wednesday 2nd September at 7.30pm in the Village Hall Eckington WI are very pleased to be able to have David Jellie to come to our meeting to talk about how Photography changed the World. Why don’t you come along as a visitor to listen to this interesting talk, admission is only £5 which includes refreshments. We hope to see you there.

Do come along for a cup of tea or coffee and cake and a natter about anything and everything. Hope to see you there joining us for a laugh and a natter not forgetting our cake and a drink.

Do you like wearing hats or are interested in the history of hats? If the answer is yes then pop along to the WI meeting this Wednesday as a visitor as we have Caroline Butcher coming along to give us an illustrated talk plus bringing along some of her wonderful creations. You never know you may need one for the upcoming Cheltenham Races. The meeting is held in the Village Hall and starts at 7.30pm and admission is only £4 which includes refreshments. You will be made most welcome, so a reminder Wednesday 4th March at 7.30pm. Hope to see you there.
