Field End Farm is a Grade II listed 16th century farmhouse, which was once a prominent diary farm in the area of over 300 acres. The farm operated into the early 20th century. Much of the land was sold off in the early 20th century to make way for the metropolitan railway and housing development, which now forms much of the beautiful suburb of Eastcote. e which lies in a little less than an acre of gardens, Two of the historic wells still survive today, as does much of the original timber framed building (which has undergone extensive, sympathetic restoration internally.) The current owner having faced a challenging background himself, is keen to nurture opportunities for young people to thrive and develop. Throughout the year the farm gets involved in supporting young people via Scouts running boating, skiing and other adventurous outdoor activities. At Christmas, we open the front garden to visitors, creating a mini winter wonderland. Families can enjoy the season of goodwill, share some fun, play games and capture some great selfies. Depending on when you visit you may be lucky enough to meet Mr. & Mrs. Claus, one of our lovely but naughty elves or even hear our amazing choir. Our display opens every day between 10 am and 10 pm from December through to Candlemass (the 40th and final day of Christmas that marks the presentation of Jesus to the temple). In recent years it has become a tradition to open the farm in order to raise money for the fabulous Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. Visiting Field End Farm at Christmas is free, although we encourage visitors to make a voluntary donation to GOSH via one of our collection boxes, online via our just giving page or by text.
