Iโ€™m excited to share some news thatโ€™s both personal and meaningful to meโ€ฆ
My memoir is officially coming out very soon.

This book represents a journey of growth, resilience, and honesty.
Writing it required reflection, vulnerability, and the courage to revisit moments that shaped who I am today.

Iโ€™m proud to say the book is now complete, and both the eBook and paperback have been successfully accepted for publication by Amazon.

๐Ÿ“˜ Title: If I Can See It, I Can Do It

Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and believed in me throughout this process. Your words, presence, and energy made all the difference.

I look forward to sharing more soon โ€” and I hope my story inspires someone else to keep going, keep believing, and keep turning their challenges into strength. ๐Ÿ’›

Who started Transgender Awareness Week?

Gwendolyn Ann Smith
1998: Rita Hester's murder โ€“ murdered on November 28 because of gender identity, a candlelight vigil was held on December 4 to honor Hester's life; death lead to inspiration for the idea of the first International Transgender Day of Remembrance started by trans woman Gwendolyn Ann Smith.

Why celebrating Transgender Awareness Month is important?

Awareness educates the public, celebrates the transgender community, and promotes advocacy for transgender rights. It serves to combat misinformation, increase the visibility of transgender people, and acknowledge the discrimination and violence they face, especially in the lead-up to the Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 20th.
Education and visibility
Combat misinformation: The month provides a crucial opportunity to educate the public about transgender identities and issues, which helps to counter misunderstanding and false narratives.
Increase visibility: By highlighting transgender people and their stories, the celebration increases their visibility in society, which can lead to greater acceptance.
