League of Diabetes Connecting the World as 1 in living with Type 1. League of Diabetes (LOD) is a platform of the DiAthlete charity registered 1190 263 in England & Wales.

LOD supports a global collaboration of type 1 diabetes patient activists & organisations who develop initiatives to make diabetes education more relatable & empowering around the world. LOD hosts an 'LOD Global' network of likeminded Type 1 diabetes organisations & groups, who share sociable and recreational approaches to diabetes education. LOD further engages in producing adult Type 1 diabetes c

amps & paediatric diabetes workshops in events, while sharing peer experiences and awareness through online content in 'DiAviews.'

Waving out the year ๐Ÿ‘‹ with a reflection on this summerโ€™s ๐Ÿ•๏ธfor adults living with ๐Ÿ’™

Something that we just felt there is such a need for - to open a space that can help to โ€œmake the diabetes talk connectโ€ - where we can support each other on the mental health side of everyday management.

We saw people reach new heights (sometimes quite literally), refresh themselves from โ€˜targetsโ€™ to be empowered beyond numbers, and come out of their comfort zones to find a support community to help ignite an inner fire on their journeys ๐Ÿ”ฅ

With a small voluntary team, a lot of energy is required in out of hours time slots to deliver these opportunities, but each year we see how we all have it in us to do something special ๐Ÿ’™ it has been an honour for us to help unleash the inner Phoenix ๐Ÿฆโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ in those who come to the camp!

We had a great time at on Friday! Whether it was hearing share his story at the book launch, listening to some empowering perspectives on the panel, or seeing some divabetics strut their stuff on the catwalk, everybody had a lot of fun making the type one talk connect โœจ
