🌍🎉 WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY AT THE MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL! 🎉🌍

We had such a lovely time joining in and being part of the Multicultural Festival, wonderfully organised by the lovely Angela and everyone who helped make the day happen. ❤️

There was so much going on, with music from the DJ, fantastic performers and entertainment throughout the day. 🎶💃🎤

We especially loved watching the amazing Tornado Twirlers 🌪️✨, along with so many other brilliant performances celebrating the different cultures, talents and people that make up our community.

For us at Craig’s Cabin, days like this are about so much more than having a stall or attending an event. We made some really meaningful new connections with local organisations, community groups and individuals, had some brilliant conversations, and hopefully planted the seeds for some exciting collaborations in the future. 🌱🤝

A huge thank you to Angela, all the organisers, performers, volunteers, stallholders and everyone who came along and helped create such a welcoming community atmosphere.

It was also lovely meeting so many of you who hadn't heard about Craig’s Cabin before. We really hope to see some of those new faces joining us at our wellbeing sessions, walks, workshops, Kids Club and community events very soon. 💚🌳

Community is at its strongest when we come together, share what we do and support one another — and today was a wonderful example of exactly that.

🌿🐾 FORAGE FOR KNOWLEDGE – ST HELENS WOODS 🐾🌿

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us today for our Forage for Knowledge Wellbeing Walk through the beautiful St Helens Woods! 💚

We had a lovely wander through the woods, plenty of good conversation, lots of laughs and the chance to learn a little more about the area and the nature around us. 🌳🍃

Of course, our four-legged members had a brilliant time too! 🐶 It was lovely having EEFO, Freya and Pluto along for the adventure, with plenty of energetic running, sniffing and exploring along the way! 🐾😂

📸 A special thank you to Sam, Alfie and Alex, as well as everyone else who took some of the lovely photos from today's walk. It's always great having these memories to look back on and share with everyone who couldn't join us. 💚

These walks aren't about how far or how fast we go. They're about getting outdoors, connecting with nature, having a chat and spending time together without judgement, pressure or expectations.

Thank you again to everyone who came along and made it another fantastic Friday. We hope to see you all on another adventure soon! 🌿🥾

⚔️🛡️ ANOTHER FANTASTIC CRAIG’S CABIN KIDS CLUB! 🛡️⚔️

What a brilliant afternoon we had at Hidden Eden Wellbeing Garden for our VIKING DAY! 🌿

Our little Vikings got stuck into making their very own Viking shields, bracers, axes and other Viking-inspired crafts. There were some absolutely fantastic creations — we definitely had a few fearsome warriors running around Hidden Eden! 😂⚔️🛡️

And, of course, no Viking gathering would be complete without a feast! 🍞🍎🍯🫐

We had some homemade Viking-inspired goodies including:
🫐 Viking Berry Bread
🍯 Honey & Oat Cake
🍎 Apple & Oat Cake
🌻 Homemade Seeded Viking Bread
🍬 Plus plenty of donated sweeties and treats!

💚 A huge thank you to the members of Hollington Community Spirit Group, who once again stepped in and have been helping us run these sessions. Their extra hands, time and support have been a massive help in making this event possible for local children and families. It’s fantastic to see community groups working together to provide something positive for the kids in our community. 🤝❤️

And, of course, a massive THANK YOU to everyone who came along, joined in and helped make another Kids Club such a lovely day!

🌿🤝 COMMUNITY SPIRIT, CONVERSATION & COLLABORATION AT HIDDEN EDEN 🤝🌿

After a very busy morning at Hidden Eden, we were back in the garden again this evening! This time, we were pleased to lend our venue to the Hollington Community Spirit Group for their community meeting. 💚

Although Hollington Community Spirit is still a relatively newly formed group and continuing to develop its structure and future direction, they've already been active in the community for the past few months — organising fun days, community talking days and other local events, as well as building their presence through their Facebook group.

Tonight was an opportunity to talk about where they want to go next, including governance, future plans, local issues and how they can continue building on what they've already started.

We're looking forward to seeing how Hollington Community Spirit develops and what more they can bring to Hollington. 🌱👏

A huge thank you to Councillor Rebecca Horne for coming along, listening to people's views, contributing to the conversation and taking plenty of notes. 📝

There was certainly no shortage of things to discuss!

It was brilliant to look around Hidden Eden and see so many people sitting together, exchanging ideas and discussing what matters to the local community.

It was lovely to welcome Mary from Churchwood Community Orchard, along with Andrea, Dawn and Ashley from Hollington Community Spirit, and lots of other wonderful people from the community.

And to everybody whose names have escaped my brain tonight — I apologise! 😂 You are absolutely no less important; my memory has simply clocked off before I have! 💚

One of the really positive themes from tonight was collaboration.

There are already some fantastic groups and individuals doing great things locally. By communicating with one another, promoting each other's activities, sharing knowledge and resources and avoiding unnecessary duplication, we can hopefully achieve much more for the community.

Hollington Community Spirit has already shown what it can do through its events over the last few months. Now we're excited to see what comes next as the group continues to develop, establish its governance and bring even more people together.

And that's exactly the sort of thing we want Hidden Eden to be available for.

It's not simply a garden where we grow fruit, vegetables and flowers. 🌻🥕🌱

It's a community space where ideas can grow, friendships can grow, partnerships can form and people can come together.

Thank you to everyone who gave up their evening to attend, contribute and share their ideas.
