is over for another year.

Thank you for your support. It was a brilliant week. The committee are all now lying down in a subtly lit room with a book.

I hope somebody noticed how quickly we took down the banners advertising the festival as soon as the final event finished.

We will post some feedback and confirm the dates for next year very soon.

Pupils' loving author/artist visits as expanding book festival reaches 15 schools in Retford area:

Today is our last day of 2026 in The Grove Methodist Church and Centre - a historic and beautifully restored building.

Tomorrow’s final event will be at Idle Valley (nature photographer Andrew Fusek Peters at 2.00pm, a few tickets still available).

Thank you to all the staff and volunteers at Grove Street Methodist Church who have made us welcome, helped us with events and and provided refreshments seemingly effortlessly - THANK YOU
