Could I ask you all a wee favour? 🙏😊

With YouTube changing its monetisation goals from February, I’m trying to give the Lothian Woodworks channel a bit of a boost!

If you get a spare moment, stick my playlist on in the background while you’re getting on with other things, or have a wee browse through the videos and see if anything catches your eye. Every view and bit of support helps me get closer to the goal and keep making more content. ❤️

I really appreciate everyone who’s supported the channel so far. It means a lot to a small independent business like mine!

I've been keeping these under wraps until after the show so I didn't spoil the surprise.

It was a real pleasure creating these engraved wooden wh**ky cups and presentation barrels for 🩸garbage🩸 ahead of their Edinburgh Castle performance.

As a little extra, I designed a matching slate coaster featuring Edinburgh Castle alongside a sound system and microphone, and included one with each set as a surprise gift. It wasn't part of the original order, but I thought it completed the presentation perfectly.

I love projects like this. Taking a good idea and adding those finishing touches that make it feel that bit more special.

I hope the band enjoyed receiving them, and thank you to everyone involved for trusting Lothian Woodworks with such a memorable project. Edinburgh Castle Concerts

One goal. One nation. forever! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️ Last night’s 1-0 win over Haiti deserves to be remembered, so I’ve created this engraved slate coaster celebrating John McGinn’s 28th-minute strike and another proud night for the .

The new Lothian Woodworks website is now live.
This has been a proper behind-the-scenes project alongside the workshop work, and I’ve built the whole thing myself.
When I say everything is done in house, I really mean it. The products, the design work, the photos, and now the website too.
It’s been built to make things clearer, easier to browse, and to show a bit more of what goes into each piece I make.
If you’ve followed along for a while, thanks for sticking with it. There’s a lot more to come.

Custom engraving for a client’s bench build.
This isn’t added on, it’s part of the bench itself. One of the slats engraved with “Mum & Dad” to make it properly personal.

Seeing it finished and all together is what makes it. Simple idea, but it means a lot more once it’s built in.

If you’ve got something similar in mind, give me a shout.

If you’re running a workshop, managing equipment, or just trying to keep your space organised, you’ll know how quickly things get messy without proper labels.

We make durable, laser-marked tags and signage using two-layer acrylic that’s built to last in real working environments. Ideal for machinery, tools, storage areas, shelving, and general workplace signage. These can be riveted, screwed, or fixed in place and won’t fade, peel, or wear like printed labels.

There’s a wide range of colour combinations too, so you can keep things clear with simple labels, colour code different areas, or match your branding across your space.
If you’ve been meaning to sort your labels or signage but haven’t got round to it, or you’re not sure what would work best, just drop me a message and we’ll put together something that fits your setup.

And if you know someone who’s dealing with messy storage, unclear equipment, or worn-out labels, feel free to share this with them.
