A big thank you to everyone who braved the hot weather last Saturday to join us for our Garden Event and Open Day—we truly appreciate your support! Thank you to Slipaczek Chartered Financial Planners for sponsoring the event, and Incredible Edible Barnet and Morrisons,Borehamwood for donating plants.
It was wonderful to see people enjoying the day, browsing the selection of plants and other lovely items on sale, and spending time together.
We also really valued the chance to connect with members of our community, share ideas, and talk about some exciting new sessions we’re hoping to launch this September. These include Tai Chi, Yoga, Chair Yoga, Arts and Crafts, and even a choir—so watch this space! 🎶🧘‍♀️🎨

This afternoon we had a visit from Megan's Petting Paradise, which caused great excitement and reminiscing about childhood pets.
Our members had the opportunity to meet 2 guinea pigs called Maya and Electra, a rabbit called Toffee, a bearded dragon called Leo and a rat called Willow.

Calling all Craft & Green-Fingered Enthusiasts! 🌿

We have a couple of tables still available to hire for anyone selling crafts etc at our Garden Fair taking place in East Barnet Baptist Church Hall on Saturday 23rd May.

We’re also gratefully accepting plant donations and garden-themed items for us to sell on the day. 🌸🪴

Join us for our Open Day & Garden Fair on 23rd May! 🌿

A wonderful opportunity to pick up some treats for your garden and learn more about the activities and support that we offer.

You’ll also be able to hear about our exciting plans for future services and connect with other local organisations joining us on the day, including Age UK Barnet and Hope Corner.

Lots of fun and laughter today, including playing inflatable hoopla and celebrating the birthday of one of our members.
Our Activity Centre for older adults runs on Thursdays from 10.00am-3.30pm. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more.

What a fantastic afternoon we had on Thursday! 🎶

Our wonderful entertainer, Billy, brought so much energy and joy into the room. It didn’t take long before everyone was clapping, singing along and even getting up to dance. The smiles said it all—there’s nothing quite like music to bring people together.

It’s always a delight to be joined by Colleen Daley for an afternoon of singing and dancing at our Activity Centre. Yesterday was extra special, as one of our clients was celebrating her 102nd birthday!

We are also looking to increase our pool of volunteers. We are particularly in need of more volunteers on a THURSDAY in the following areas -
* driving one of our minibuses to pick up / take home clients
* cooking lunch for our clients
* helping out at our Activity Centre in a variety of ways, such as chatting with clients; serving teas and coffees; encouraging clients to join in with activities; tidying up; washing up.
