PIANOTHON FUNDRAISER FOR EARLSFIELD FOODBANK THIS COMING TUESDAY - please drop in and support Howard who is bringing some Strictly razzle dazzle

Talented pianist and foodbank volunteer, Howard Hopkins, is raising money for Earlsfield Foodbank.

Venue: Home Community Cafe, St Andrew’s, 571 Garratt Lane, Earlsfield SW18 4SR

When: Tuesday 16 June from 9.30am to 15.30pm

Come along to the Home Community Cafe to enjoy the entertainment (and the tasty food from the Cafe).

Why donate?

Earlsfield Foodbank is a vital source of support for our local residents in need. We provide food and toiletry supplies in a friendly, respectful and confidential way to our guests every week. We can only continue with the help of donations from you.

Who is Howard?

With a work background as a Sound Engineer for the BBC ranging from Strictly Come Dancing to Children in Need, Howard has always played the piano and now wants to use his talent with this fundraiser. ’During my time at Earlsfield Foodbank, I have got to know many of our guests and am amazed and touched by their resilience. The foodbank relies on donations to keep going and I came up with the idea of a sponsored piano marathon. I hope that people are generous enough to support me.’ Howard, in a nod to his link with Strictly where he worked for sixteen years, will be wearing the jacket worn by Anton du Beke in an Elton John group dancing competition.

What is Home Community Cafe?

This delightful, welcoming cafe with delicious food and drinks has always supported Earlsfield Foodbank. Cafe founder, Meg Fry, says: ‘We close our doors every Thursday to provide breakfasts for foodbank guests because we feel it’s important to care for our vulnerable residents and neighbours. We are proud to support this Fundraiser.”

Please donate now and, if you can, come along any time on Tuesday 16 June to the Home Community Cafe to enjoy and cheer on our piano playing fundraiser.
