We are delighted to announce that our 'Life in Lymm' photography competition winners were revealed on Wednesday evening.

In 1st place for 21 and over was Andrew Moores with a lovely misty morning shot taken at Lymm Dam.

In 1st place for under-21s was Sam Morris with a fabulous shot of a Kingfisher, again taken at Lymm Dam

This is a lovely time of year for what photographers call ‘golden hour’. It’s happens late in the day, on a sunny evening an hour or so before the sun goes down or in the mornings as the sun comes up and it makes for warm glowing images.

We are very pleased to launch our Photo Competition 'Life in Lymm' It's for all ages, with any kind of camera, including phone cameras. The competition opens on the 1st August until 18 September, so while we have warm dry days and lighter evenings ahead, get your cameras out and see what you can find representing 'life in Lymm'. We can't wait to see your photos!

Thanks to everyone who came along to see our prints exhibition at Lymm Baptist Church for Lymm Festival and also to those who visited our stand at Lymm Historic Transport Day yesterday. Looks like people had great fun getting their photo taken in the 'Lymm Cross Stocks'!

For the exhibition, the public votes have been counted and verified and the winner of Favourite Photo was Chris Beesley with his wonderful wintry scene from Dunham Massey NT.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Today our annual prints exhibition starts as part of Lymm Festival at Lymm Baptist Church. We have nearly 50 fabulous prints on display from our members, and you can vote for your favourite too!
