🎃🍂 AUTUMN FUN AT THE CHEESY WAFFLES ALLOTMENT! 🍂🎃

Our younger members are absolutely loving the allotment and making the most of this wonderful space to play, explore, learn and spend time with friends! 🌱💚🤗

Their autumn and pumpkin-themed night was full of excitement, with plenty to enjoy! 🎉

🔎🍁 Scavenger hunts
🫧🧽 Pumpkin washing stations
🏷️🎃 Pumpkin pricing stations
🎨🖌️ A creative craft table
🌈👐 Sensory exploration
🪴🌱 Activities in the potting hut

After all that fun, hot dogs and hot chocolate were the perfect snacks to warm everyone up! 🌭☕🍫

It’s lovely to see our members growing in confidence, getting involved and enjoying the area in their own way. Our allotment is becoming such a special place for making happy memories together! 🥰🍂💛

🎃 PUMPKIN APPEAL 🎃

We’re getting ready for our half-term and Halloween activities at Cheesy Waffles Project, and we’ll be using lots of pumpkins for creative, sensory and hands-on fun! 🍂🧡

If you’re in a position to donate a pumpkin or two, we would be very grateful. Every donation will help us create enjoyable activities for our members.

💬 Please message our page if you’d like to help, so we can arrange your donation.

🔄 You can also support us by sharing this post. We understand that not everyone can donate, and a simple share could help us reach someone who can.

Thank you for your kindness and continued support—it means so much to everyone at CWP. 🎃❤️

Our Thursday Wider World groups have done brilliant work for their “Local Pop & Beers” Project…🍺

The 2 adult groups have enjoyed researching, exploring and learning all about local breweries, pop factories and how some of our favourite drinks came about and shaped the region 🥤

They explored the site of the old ‘Wood & Watson’ pop factory in Gilesgate and looked for old pop bottles. They found some interesting stuff and made a mural.

They’ve learnt how to make ginger b**r and other traditional pop like lemonade, played traditional pub games and researched all of the regions b**r and soft drink roots

Offsite trips to Beamish, Sunderland and Durham to learn more and explore traditional pubs like The Victoria and more.
