🛝 More opportunities to learn through play at Sedgefield Primary School!

We're delighted to have supported the PTFA at Sedgefield Primary School with a £1,795 Banks Community Fund grant, helping provide new all-weather outdoor play equipment for pupils.

The new equipment will encourage active play while helping children develop their maths, literacy and motor skills through fun, imaginative activities. Designed to be inclusive, it can be enjoyed by pupils of all abilities and will benefit generations of children to come.

A huge thank you to the dedicated PTFA volunteers whose fundraising and commitment continue to create fantastic opportunities for the school community. We're proud to support projects that help children learn, grow and thrive.

💙 Patients and families at Butterwick Hospice are benefitting from improved comfort and support thanks to a grant from the Banks Community Fund.

The funding has helped replace 15 worn armchairs in the hospice’s Bishop Auckland counselling suites, creating a more comfortable, safe and supportive space for patients, bereaved families and carers during counselling sessions. 🪑✨

It’s the second grant Butterwick Hospice has received from Banks in the last year, following previous funding for vital syringe drivers used in patient care.

For more than 40 years, Butterwick Hospice has provided incredible palliative care, bereavement support and family services across Teesside and County Durham, all free of charge. 🌿

We’re proud to support the amazing work their team continues to deliver for local communities every day. 🙌

🛹🚲 Young skateboarders, scooter riders and BMX bikers in Darlington will soon be trying out brand-new tricks thanks to a grant from the Banks Community Fund.

The funding helped 4Motion Darlington indoor skatepark reach its £13,000 fundraising target for the North East’s first ever “resi quarter ramp” 🙌

The new specialised training ramp will give riders a safer space to practise more advanced tricks and build confidence while reducing the risk of injury as they learn. 💥

4Motion already welcomes more than 20,000 visitors every year and provides inclusive sessions for all ages and abilities, including toddlers, beginners and girls-only sessions. 🌟

We’re proud to support projects creating positive opportunities for young people across our communities and can’t wait to see the new ramp in action! 👏

💙 Citizens Advice County Durham is expanding the support it can offer local people thanks to a grant from the Banks Community Fund.

The funding has helped create a brand-new training room at the charity’s Spennymoor office, allowing more volunteers to be trained and supported as demand for services continues to grow. 🙌

The new space will help Citizens Advice train up to 16 additional volunteers, improving access to vital advice and support services for communities across County Durham.

The grant also funded new equipment and internal improvements to help make the space more accessible and practical for both volunteers and clients. 🏢✨

Last year alone, the organisation supported almost 4,500 people across the county, providing invaluable help and guidance to those who need it most.

We’re proud to support projects that strengthen local communities and make such a positive difference to people’s lives. 🌿

Amazing getting to meet the guys at the Rockets Community Foundation today!! Very thankful we’ve been able to help them with a grant and even more thankful I got to have a game of table tennis with the gang too 😅

At Teen Talk tonight, our young people picked up not one, but two valuable lessons…

First, they learned how to water plants (a proper life skill!), and then Jamilah gave them a real lesson on the table tennis table!

It was fantastic to welcome Banks Community Fund to our session this evening. Their support has been vital in funding our “Beyond The Classroom” project, helping us provide food and activities that build confidence, tackle social anxiety, and create positive experiences for the young people we work with.

Watch this space for the details on our next adventure all thanks to The Banks Group

A fantastic Stockton charity is tackling male social isolation—one pie at a time 🥧

Starfish Services Limited has received a grant from the Banks Community Fund to support its Men’s Pie Club and “Place To Be” drop-in sessions.

These welcoming, peer-led groups provide a safe space for people facing loneliness and mental health challenges—offering everything from shared cooking to a simple cup of tea and conversation.

We’re proud to support initiatives that bring people together and make a real difference in local communities 💙
