Name change!

You’ve seen the news—FareShare and The Felix Project are now Felix. We're in the process of changing social media handles but until we do, you can still follow our mission of rescuing food for fuller lives over at Felix.

But beyond the new name, what does this actually mean for the communities we serve?

It's simple really, greater efficiency means we can source more food and support more organisations resulting in fuller lives across The United Kingdom.

So what does that look like? To find out, follow us over at Felix to learn more about how and why we're able to rescue even more food for fuller lives.

By pooling our logistics, we can optimize our supply chains, identify more surplus, reach more suppliers, and ensure that perfectly good food doesn't end up in landfill. It also allows us to expand our network of community organisations and charities, now matched with our new unified and extended reach means, a more consistent and reliable supply of high-quality produce for the community kitchens, breakfast clubs, shelters, and pantries that rely on us.

And doing it all under one unified, national brand allows us to secure more support from a wider audience.

While our name is changing, our mission remains the same. Whether you're a volunteer, a donor, or a food partner, your support now powers a larger, more impactful operation.

Only together can we and will we end hunger in our communities and are excited to grow this mission with you. To learn how you can involved in your area and learn more about the ogranisation please visit our new website: https://felix.pulse.ly/zel7spa0ni

What does hunger actually look like in your specific neighbourhood or town right now?

The Right to Food UK Commission, led by Ian Byrne MP, is currently gathering formal evidence to create a legislative roadmap that will enshrine the Right to Food into UK law. Their goal is simple but systemic: to move from a model of "charity" to one of "legal right," ensuring no one in our country goes hungry.

Why they need your evidence
Whether you have experience of food poverty or work in food production, Food sharing or Aid, retail, education, hospitality, or public health nutrition, your insights are vital.

We need to know about the barriers to food and solutions:

The Health Toll: How is a lack of good food affecting your community’s physical and mental health?
The Root Causes: How are low wages, the benefit system, or immigration rules making it harder for people to afford to eat?
The Government’s Job: What should all levels of government be doing differently to stop food insecurity?
Supporting the People: How can we get more funding and support to local projects like community kitchens, pantries, and allotments?
The Law: How do we write a "Right to Food" law that actually works and holds politicians accountable?

How to contribute
The Commission is currently in its final evidence-gathering phase before findings are presented to Parliament in Autumn 2026.

Please take 10 minutes to complete the formal Call for Evidence here:
🔗 Submit Your Evidence: Right to Food Commission: https://www.ianbyrne.org/rtfcommission-call-for-evidence
Your contribution can be as detailed or as brief as you wish, and it will play a direct role in shaping the draft legislation.
