🚨 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE – TOMORROW 🚨

A quick heads-up to everyone joining us at Pomeroy Forest parkrun tomorrow morning! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌲

The road from the junction at FABRICAT (Juction on the Pomeroy Road/Donaghmore) to the WHITE GATES (Forest Park Entrance) is due to be closed tomorrow.

⚠️ Please note: We have been advised of the closure, but we’re not sure at this stage whether the road will actually be impassable. It may still be possible to get through, but we cannot guarantee this.

👉 We strongly recommend allowing extra time, planning your route before setting off and following any diversion signs or instructions from traffic marshals.

💛 Pomeroy Forest parkrun IS going ahead as normal!

We look forward to welcoming all our runners, joggers, walkers and volunteers tomorrow morning. 🌲🏃‍♀️💛

Please share this post with anyone who might be travelling to parkrun!

🚨 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TOMORROW! 🚨

🦺 Could you spare an hour or so tomorrow morning?
Whether you’re a regular runner, walker, supporter or you’ve never been to parkrun before, we’d love to have you on the team.

We’re getting ready for another Saturday morning at Pomeroy Forest parkrun, but we’re still a few volunteers short to make sure everything can go ahead smoothly! 🙌🌲

No experience is needed, all the roles are straightforward, and we’ll show you exactly what to do. Plus, volunteering is a great way to be part of parkrun without having to tackle the hills yourself! 😂

Drop us a message or comment below if you can help out. 💛

A huge thank you to Gary, Lilly & Ellie Bergin from Larne for their brilliant contribution to Pomeroy Forest parkrun! 🌳🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The Bergin family kindly made us a fantastic board to hold our finish tokens — something we’ll be putting to good use every Saturday! 🙌🔢

It’s amazing to see the support and kindness that goes into making our little parkrun what it is, and we’re so grateful for your thoughtful donation. ❤️

Thank you, Gary, Lilly & Ellie — we absolutely love it! 👏🥰

🌟 A VERY SPECIAL MILESTONE! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Rebecca Adams, who finished 23rd at today’s Pomeroy Forest parkrun! 🏃‍♀️👏
Rebecca was a first timer with us, usually taking part at Antrim parkrun alongside her Dad, David Adams. ❤️
But today was extra special… Rebecca crossed the finish line as the 🌟 1,000th finisher EVER at Pomeroy Forest parkrun! 🌟

What a way to make your first visit to Pomeroy! 🎉🙌

Congratulations Rebecca — we hope it’s the first of many visits!
