The Archie Foundation Tayside

The Archie Foundation Tayside We aim to make the difference for children in healthcare and bereavement. The Archie Foundation relies wholly on support from the local communities.

Our vision is that all children in our local areas will have equal access to world-class healthcare and bereavement support, delivered in a child-appropriate environment and manner. The Archie Foundation aims to transform experiences and outcomes in healthcare and bereavement for children and their families across the north of Scotland. In Tayside we do this by working in partnership with our coll

eagues at NHS Tayside and with a number of public and private sector services supporting local children across the region. We receive no financial support from the NHS or from the local authorities. We need your help to keep making a difference for Tayside children and families when they need it the most. Can you organise a fundraising event? Whether a ball for 500 people or a dinner party at home where you ask your guests to make a donation for the privilege – every single penny really does help. Our fundraisers do almost everything to raise money. Some run, others bake, a few even jump out of planes! But they all have one thing in common. They all make a difference to local children. And we are all very grateful.

We are incredibly grateful to the amazing people who choose to fundraise for The Archie Foundation in their own unique ways.

Recently, Emma organised a fantastic Zumbathon, bringing together a room full of energy, enthusiasm and generosity to raise funds for both The Archie Foundation and Andy's Man Club.

Reflecting on the day, Emma said:

"The day went very well, everyone was full of energy and everyone was very generous, raising Β£850 between the two charities."

What an incredible achievement! πŸ‘

Whether it's a Zumbathon, a bake sale, a sponsored challenge or something completely different, every fundraiser helps us continue supporting local babies, children and families when they need it most.

Thank you, Emma, and thank you to everyone who took part and donated. Together, you're making a real difference. πŸ’™

Thanks to the incredible support of our Charity of the Year partners, Johnston Carmichael Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers Dundee, the Glenlaw House team spent a fantastic morning at Dobbies Dundee shopping for new resources to enhance their garden space after winning a place in the Dobbies Community Garden Initiative! πŸŒΈβ˜˜οΈπŸ’•πŸ’š

As part of our Charity of the Year partnership, Johnston Carmichael's support is helping The Archie Foundation continue to make a real difference for children and families across Tayside. These wonderful sensory additions will help transform the outdoor space at Glenlaw House, creating even more opportunities for children accessing respite care to play, explore and relax in a nurturing environment.

A huge thank you to Johnston Carmichael and Dobbies for helping us make the difference for local children and families. πŸ₯°πŸ‘πŸ™Œ

Rounding off our Staff Kiltwalk Spotlight series is Reti, our Senior Fundraising Officer, who will be taking on the Dundee Kiltwalk this August alongside her family to raise funds for The Archie Foundation πŸ’™

"I simply can't wait to walk together with my family and meet people who are all taking on Kiltwalk for their own personal reasons and the meaning behind them." As both a fundraiser and a volunteer, she sees first-hand the difference our supporters make to families facing some of life's toughest moments. This year's walk is especially meaningful, as she and her family will be raising funds for the Aberdeen Neonatal Unit.

"Kiltwalk is incredible for raising awareness of so many amazing charities, but it's also about bringing thousands of people together with one common goal: supporting others. I also love how inclusive it is and that I can take part with my children."

Thinking about joining Team Archie for Dundee Kiltwalk? There is still time to sign up and help make a difference for local babies, children and families.

This year, an incredible 219 Archie supporters took to the starting lines of the Mighty Stride and Wee Wander at the Aberdeen Kiltwalk, and we couldn't be prouder.

Every single step walked, every mile completed, and every pound raised is helping us continue to support the babies, children and families when they need us most. To everyone who signed up, fundraised, volunteered, cheered from the sidelines or supported our walkers – thank you. You are making a real difference, and we are so, so proud to have you as part of Team Archie. πŸ’™

But the Kiltwalk season isn't over yet… we are only halfway through! πŸŽ‰ There is still time to join us at the Dundee Kiltwalk this August or the Edinburgh Kiltwalk in September.

✨ Ready to be part of Team Archie? Sign up today and help us be there for babies, children and families across the North of Scotland.

πŸ’™ Announcing Our Charity Partner for the Women Ahead 25th Anniversary Gala πŸ’™

We are delighted to announce that our chosen charity partner for the Women Ahead 25th Anniversary Gala on Friday 25th September is The Archie Foundation.

For over 25 years, The Archie Foundation has been transforming experiences and outcomes in healthcare and bereavement for babies, children and families across Scotland. Their work provides practical, emotional and financial support when families need it most.

The impact of their work is truly remarkable. In 2025 alone, The Archie Foundation provided direct support to 4,440 babies and children, helped 1,386 parents stay close to their children through free hospital accommodation and supported 597 children through specialist bereavement services.

As Women Ahead celebrates 25 years of supporting and empowering women, we are proud to partner with an organisation that makes such a meaningful difference to families across our region. Their commitment to ensuring children and families receive compassionate support during some of life's most challenging moments is inspiring. We look forward to helping raise awareness and funds for their vital work.
