This breaks my heart. A woman out there trying to have a good life. And now it's cut short by a vile entitled man. What a waste of a beautiful life. 😭😭😭

The 37-year-old woman who died following an incident in Byron Street, Dundee, has been named as Natalie Egan.

Around 7.25am on Friday, 31 October, 2025, we received a report of a fire at a property in the Byron Street area. Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished.

Natalie, who was within the property, was later pronounced dead.

Following a post-mortem examination, her death is being treated as murder and her family is being supported by specially trained officers.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death and is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, 3 November, 2025.

Drivers speeding up and down Ancrum Drive is one of the concerns raised to me recently. I've never seen a police speed check anywhere near the school.

Many parked cars (some on pavements) increase the danger to children crossing too.

We have found a community hub that will let us use space to have an in person meeting. Aiming to make it early in the hols, one evening. I'll create an event and share the link as soon as I confirm date/time. ❤️🎉🤩

To everyone who would like to engage in ANY WAY, to help proactively make our streets safer from ALL predators, then watch this space.... I have been sad and angered for a very long time about the behaviour of SOME men and the fact it leaves so many of us devastated and no longer feeling safe. There are many male allies also out there, but unfortunately, almost impossible to spot unless we know them already and even then, we all know someone who's been affected badly by someone they know too.
