Last weekend a few of our cadets had the opportunity to attend the wings first weekend activity training camp in quite a while.
Over the course of the weekend cadets got the chance to: Learn map reading skills and compass work through hill walking. Balance and team building through paddle sports. And endurance through mountain biking.
Not only did the cadets have lots of fun they learned new things and created new friendships!
Hopefully we will see more of these opportunities for our cadets in the near future.

May Multi Activity Camp weekend update.

Eight cadets from 1232 took part in L98 Initial Weapons Training, four cadets participated in a L98 live fire on the Leuchars 25m Barrack range, 4 cadets were involved in blue road marching and two cadets participated in bronze road marching one day and space the next.

What an effort from team 1232!

FS Bello, Sgt Inglis, Cpl Kelleher, Cpl Mathewson, Cpl McGaughay and Cpl Morrison took part in an advanced L98 shoot up to silver level on Saturday.

The day comprised of zeroing at 100m, shooting at 100m, 200m and 300m in various positions and advance to contact rundowns from 400m to 300m, 300m to 200m and 200m to 100m.

Great effort as always from team 1232.

A few weeks ago, we ran an open night where a few interested young people had the chance to see what we do.

They explored stalls and spoke to our cadets about their experiences and what we offer as an organisation. They were also treated to a presentation from our cadet recruitment team!

Flying-7th April 2026.

Cadets Kennedy, Ukeusan, Jamison and Lawson had the perfect day for air experience flying in a Grob Tutor at Leuchars today.

They enjoyed a half hour flight and were treated to some aerobatics. Glad they had the stomach for it.
