Hello Facebook.
I posted this on insta but I don't really engage with Facebook much anymore just because I find keeping up on different platforms hard :(
Over the last few months, thanks to some of our amazing advertising, we have accumulated a bunch of new followers, which is super duper exciting. My name is Stephanie and I am the founder and the person trying to run Dundee Community Craft CIC.
I have an AMAZING BOARD amazing support, amazing colleagues/ community partners, and lots of support externally to make it all happen. So, I am popping up to say an Internet hello. Since becoming a mum for a second time, a lot of things in my life have been deprioriotised, including having such an online presence. However, I DO KNOW faces build trust, and I am DYING to meet more of you because I pure love what I do.
We set up to first and formost be able to deliver jewellery and craft making in communities in Dundee to unlock hidden potential through making. Do I think jewellery can fully solve some of Dundee more complex challenges? No. Do I think getting to make something beautiful can boost someomes' self-worth and give them an escape and a bit of dignity for a few hours a week? Yes.
We've started working on some really cool new projects that I am dying to shout out into the world. We're just wrapping up a really cool evaluation project with researchers at ,too, so you'll be able to see with your own eyes some of the impact jewellery making has for women in recovery at and some of the wider implications of our work.
I run workshops every weekend. You can come and experience everything for yourself. Youll find out a wee bitty more about our community outreach you too can join us in our small wee micro mission, to transform lives, one piece of jewellery at a time. Feel free to reach out or email;
