Please note there’s a
temporary path closure in Dulwich Woods from tomorrow
Tuesday 29 September to Friday 2 October. This is because essential tree works will be taking place.

The Dulwich Estate team will be carrying out essential and urgent tree works in the woods this week, supported by a qualified ecologist.
The works are necessary because two ash trees have been affected by disease, which has weakened their structure and made them unsafe.
For the safety of visitors and contractors, part of one woodland path will be temporarily closed while the works are undertaken. The Dulwich Estate apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and asks visitors to follow all on-site signage and any diversion routes in place.

It’s not too late to book into local school open days if you haven’t already.

All schools now require you to book your visit so please get in touch with the schools directly to book your tour.

We have so many great local schools near Dulwich Village - this is certainly not an exhaustive list but hopefully reminds you that it’s school open day season! And school application deadlines are only weeks away too - again, please check with the schools or with your local council for state schools.

Have you been up to Dulwich Woods recently? It’s looking fantastic and is far more accessible than a few years ago with pathways and Cox’s Wood footbridge beautifully repaired.

Thank you to The Dulwich Estate and London Wildlife Trust for maintaining such a special area of woodland for the community to enjoy.

This Saturday you can see Nick Richards painting of Christ’s Chapel at Green’s Gallery - and then pop along to see inside the Chapel itself! It’s one of several local places opening as part of London’s Open House Festival run by Open City.

Green’s Gallery is open every day - including Saturday 9am-5.30pm and Nick’s painting is part of the current I Love South London exhibition.
Christ’s Chapel in Dulwich Village will be open this Saturday 10am -4pm. Link in bio for details.

Please help to keep Dulwich Park, Belair Park, Brockwell Park, Sunray Gardens in fact ALL parks clean!

Bag up and throw away dog mess, put litter in the bins (or take it home), and don’t forget your belongings so that our green spaces are in top condition for everyone to enjoy. A clean park also prevents wildlife from suffering.

Many thanks and do come along to Dulwich Park on Sunday for an afternoon of live music next to the café. Everyone is welcome and the event is free! (See our post from earlier this week, by ).
