Cyber Security Unity (formerly the UK Cyber Security Association) is a global community which has been set up to help unite the industry and combat the growing cyber threat. We do this through the provision of:
- Networking and other meetings with like-minded individuals in cyber security
- Cyber security content
- Cyber security thought leadership
- Interviews with key people in cyber securit
y
- Events that are mainly virtual, but we will also look at in-person and hybrid events
We are content driven, and our work is showcased through, blogs, articles, insights, benchmarking reports, events, webinars, videos and podcasts. We hold regular networking meetings and events where the cyber security industry can come together to talk about the latest threats, key trends and topics that every cyber security professional should know about. Our work falls under these main workstreams:
- Skills/training/education and combatting the cyber skills gap
- Supporting women in cyber
- Outreach, diversity and inclusion in cyber
We also offer:
- Support and help for those affected by abuse and bullying in the industry
- Support and help with stress, burnout, and mental health issues
Cyber security awareness is high on our priority list, as is promoting the importance of cyber security and why individuals and organisations of ALL sizes should take it seriously. Our Founder is a qualified mental health first aider and is perfectly placed to help those affected by stress and burnout in cyber security, and following her experience of bullying and abuse in the cyber security industry she is also perfectly placed to offer support to those who are also affected by this. Cyber Security Unity will be funded through Patreon and crowdfunding from the cyber security community – it truly is by the community, for the community and will be a fully independent body.
