Thank You from the Festival Committee
Yet again, another Festival Week has come to an end, and what a wonderful week it has been!
Although this year's celebrations were a little different, with no floats in the parade and some extremely hot weather, the support from our community has been as strong as ever. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our events throughout the past eight days.
From the Carnival and coffee mornings to the entertainers, shows, children's events, and all the activities in between, it was fantastic to see so many familiar faces joining us. Your attendance, enthusiasm, and support mean so much to us and help ensure that Festival Week can continue for many years to come.
Events like these are only possible because of the wonderful community we have. Whether you attended one event or many, volunteered your time, helped behind the scenes, or simply came along to enjoy the festivities, we are truly grateful.

As we look ahead to next year's Festival Week, keep an eye out for us throughout the year. We hope to be out and about in the town with fundraising events and other activities as we begin planning for another fantastic festival.
Thank you once again for your continued support. We couldn't do it without you, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to downham market town council for their incredible support. By generously providing us with the Town Hall for the week, they have made it possible for us to host our events and celebrations. Their support has not only enabled the week to happen but has also made the organisation and running of events much easier for our committee. We are extremely grateful for their continued assistance and commitment to our community.

We would also like to remind everyone that our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place in September. More details will be announced in due course, and we would love to see as many people there as possible. It's a great opportunity to hear about our plans for the future, share ideas, and get involved in helping shape next year's Festival

As the annual Downham Festival approaches the Festival Committee would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere thanks to Bearts of Stow Bridge. Over many years, quietly in the background, we have been supported by Stephen and Mark. Not only have they have willingly provided the lorries, with drivers, which have made our Festival Parade so special, but they have also financially sponsored the parade as well.
This year Bearts are unable to provide lorries, but on behalf of the Downham Community, the Festival Committee thank Stephen, Mark and all their drivers for the incredible support that they have given the Town.
The Parade will still take place.! The theme this year is “Downham Through the Decades”. More details to follow….
