What a brilliant day on the Isle of Sheppey! 💙

I met so many amazing organisations and people doing great things to make a real difference. There’s such a strong sense of community across the island and a real passion for supporting local people.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to welcome me and share the fantastic work you’re doing! 🙌

Supporting your community can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also take a lot of energy. Taking care of yourself, having the right support around you, and developing the right skills can help ensure you have the energy and resilience to continue making a difference.

You don’t have to do it all alone. At Hub & Spoke, we’re supporting a growing network of organisations from across the county but just as importantly, we’re supporting each other, by sharing knowledge, building skills, and creating strong connections.

If you would like to find out more please do get in touch!

Founded by Ellie, Ruff Necks CIC is doing fantastic work in East Kent to create opportunities for young people to explore creativity, build confidence and develop their skills through music, movement and performance.
At the heart of Ruff Necks is a commitment to creating safe, inclusive and supportive spaces where young people can express themselves, connect with others and discover what they’re capable of. Through creative activity and performance, they’re helping to support wellbeing while giving young people a voice and a place to belong.
We’re really pleased to have Ellie and the Ruff Necks team joining Hub & Spoke.

Three months ago, Hub & Spoke launched with the aim...to bring people together and provide free support to charitable organisations across Kent.

Fast forward three months and we now have 30 amazing members!

We’re creating a community where people can connect, share skills and ideas, build relationships and improve their own wellbeing...knowing they’re not doing it alone.

We’re so proud of what we’ve created so far, and this is just the beginning!

Thank you to everyone who has joined us and helped make Hub & Spoke what it is.

We're thrilled to welcome Kith 'n' Kin CIC, a Tonbridge-based organisation supporting families whose children experience distressed behaviours, including aggression, self-harm and emotion-based school avoidance.

Through their Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) Therapeutic Parenting Programme, they help parents and carers rebuild relationships, strengthen family connections and develop practical strategies to improve family life.

We're so pleased to have them as part of the Hub & Spoke community!

What a fantastic first Hub & Spoke networking event!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make it such a valuable and inspiring session. It was a great opportunity to talk openly about the challenges facing our sector, explore how we can support one another, and share ideas, experiences and learning. We were also delighted to hear from our guest speaker, Wave Community Bank.
Wellbeing was an important focus for us as a group. Working in the charity and community sector can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also bring its own challenges. Creating opportunities to connect with one another and share experiences is so important, because when we support the wellbeing of those working in our sector, we strengthen the people and organisations supporting our communities.
If you couldn’t make it this time, don’t worry — we’ll be holding another get together in a few months time and look forward to hopefully seeing you there!
