rest Channel Relay Team 2013. The challenge began in December when the snow was still on the ground, we decided to swim the English Channel and raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. When Bentley, Katie and Abi braved the first session at Parliament Hill without a wetsuit in March there was still snow on the ground, the deserted, unheated, open air lido was 2 degrees and we all began to realise the enormity of the challenge ahead of us.We have suffered some setbacks along the way, the water was icy, the harbour is horrid and the jellyfish are scary, we have had to work together as a team to move forward and help each other conquer our fears. Exams have thrown us off course and we all have other commitments to fit around our training but we have learnt a lot about ourselves and our spirit is strong.After many training sessions with only regulation speedo’s to keep us warm we have our two hour assessment coming up soon, so wish us well and sponsor us, it's all for a good cause.
