⚽ Get Down & Show Your Support! 💙

Sunday 26th April, something truly special is happening on the Island.

The Isle of Man Walking Football community is welcoming the North West Warriors — a remarkable team of players living with Parkinson’s and other health challenges — for a series of competitive 6-a-side matches.

📍 St John’s Astro Turf Pitch
⏰ Kick-off: 13:15

These players are proof that determination, teamwork, and passion don’t stop with a diagnosis. They’ve travelled to the Island not just to play — but to inspire.

Come along, bring your friends and family, and help create a fantastic atmosphere. Your support will mean a huge amount to every player on that pitch.

Let’s show them what the Isle of Man is all about — community, encouragement, and backing each other all the way.

See you there! ⚽💙

Move More. Feel Better. Stay Connected.

Walking Football is a brilliant way to stay active—and for those living with Parkinson’s, it can make a real difference.

This isn’t just football at a slower pace… it’s movement with purpose.

Regular physical activity like walking football can help:
• Improve balance and coordination
• Support mobility and flexibility
• Boost mood and reduce anxiety
• Maintain strength and independence
• Encourage social connection and reduce isolation

And the best part? It’s inclusive, friendly, and adaptable to different abilities.

The sessions run by Isle of Man Walking Football are welcoming, supportive, and a great way to meet others while doing something positive for your health.

Why not give it a try?

You don’t need to be a footballer… just bring yourself.

Movement is medicine. And together, we’re stronger every step. 💙

💙 Creating opportunities to stay active and connected
💙 Raising awareness and understanding across the Island

Together, we can make a real difference.

Today we’re focusing on one of the most recognised symptoms of Parkinson’s: Tremor.

A tremor is an involuntary shaking, often starting in the hand or fingers, and is usually more noticeable when the body is at rest.

Did you know?
• Around 70% of people with Parkinson’s experience a tremor at some stage.
• It often begins on one side of the body before potentially affecting both.
• Tremor can improve with movement but return when the body is relaxed.
• Not everyone with Parkinson’s will have a tremor — it’s just one of many symptoms.

Parkinson’s affects everyone differently, which is why understanding symptoms like this is so important — for those living with it and those supporting them.

If you or someone you know is affected, please remember — you’re not alone.

Get in touch via DM, email [email protected] or call 309409 for support.

Easter is a time of hope, renewal, and brighter days ahead.

For those living with Parkinson’s, every small step forward matters — every good day, every smile, every moment of strength.

This Easter, we’re reminded that even in the most challenging times, there is always hope, support, and a community that cares

🐣 Whether it’s spending time with loved ones
🐣 Getting outside for some fresh air
🐣 Or simply taking a moment to rest and recharge

Every little moment counts.

Let’s continue to support one another, raise awareness, and remind those living with Parkinson’s that they are never alone.
