Today we celebrate the Official Birthday of His Majesty King Charles III

King Charles is the Sovereign Head of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem. Today we wish him
a " Happy Official Birthday", and hope for fine weather and an enjoyable celebration .

We thank him for his service to the nation and our Order.

The sovereign's birthday was first officially marked in the Kingdom of Great Britain in 1748, for King George II. Since then, the date of the Sovereign's birthday has been determined throughout the British Empire and, later, the Commonwealth of Nations, either by royal proclamations issued by the sovereign or viceroy, or by statute laws passed by the local parliament.

The date of the celebration today varies as adopted by each country and is generally set around the end of May or start of June, to coincide with a higher probability of fine weather in the Northern Hemisphere for outdoor ceremonies.

Many of our volunteers in the UK will of course be on duty and we thank them for their service.

📢Attention Paddock, Attention Paddock📢

Just like that, TT 2026 has come to an end.

While the final days may not have gone quite as planned, what remains unchanged is the incredible effort, commitment and dedication shown by so many people throughout the fortnight.

A huge thank you to all volunteers, staff, medics, marshals, officials, emergency services, race organisers and everyone else who has played a part in making this world-famous event possible. Whether you’re trackside, behind the scenes or supporting the event in countless other ways, the TT simply couldn’t happen without you.

To our own St John Ambulance volunteers and staff, thank you for the countless hours you have given to help keep competitors, residents and visitors safe.

While the TT is undoubtedly the biggest event in our calendar, it is just one of many events we are privileged to support throughout the year. As TT 2026 comes to a close, our commitment to serving the Isle of Man continues, and we’ll be back doing what we do best – supporting our Island and standing ready to help wherever we’re needed.

Safe travels home everyone, wherever home may be. Thank you for being part of TT 2026.

🏁 Good morning from the Isle of Man! ☀️🇮🇲

Today is THE day. After a week of changing schedules and weather disruption, Friday delivers a properly packed race programme followed by a prize presentation in the evening to celebrate the week’s race winners 🏁

Our volunteers are heading out to their positions around the TT Course, where they’ll be for the day, providing vital first aid and medical support to riders, officials, marshals and spectators. Meanwhile, our Patient Transfer Service has been running since 6:30am and continues to operate as normal on this Bank Holiday. 🚑

It’s been a busy and ever-changing week, and we’re incredibly proud of the commitment, flexibility and professionalism shown by both our volunteers and staff, ensuring both TT cover and essential community services continue without interruption. 💚

🛣️ Mountain Road closes at 09:00, full TT Course closed by 10:00. Whether you’re trackside, travelling around the Island or watching from hedges, stay safe and enjoy the action. 🚑💚🇮🇲

We’ve reviewed the footage and can confirm this is the fastest our Patient Transfer vehicle has ever looked! 😄

A big thank you to Moto Media for the fantastic shots of our team heading over the Mountain section of the TT course.

Whilst others are setting lap records, our team is focused on safely getting hospital staff and patients where they need to be during a busy TT. 🚐💚

This Volunteer Week, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to every one of our incredible volunteers.

Whether you’re responding to emergencies, supporting community events, teaching first aid, helping behind the scenes, helping to fundraise, maintaining our facilities, or giving your time in countless other ways, your dedication makes a real difference every single day.

Your commitment and compassion, are at the heart of everything we do. The impact you have reaches far beyond the hours you give, helping us provide vital services and support to those who need it most.

While Volunteer Week gives us a special opportunity to celebrate, our volunteers in every role, are valued and appreciated all year round. Thank-you for everything every single one of you do. 👏💚

A well-earned evening of rest for our volunteers yesterday.

As our team weren’t required at any events after racing finished, they took the opportunity to enjoy some well-deserved downtime together at a social evening.

A lot of our volunteers are away from home and giving up their annual leave to support events throughout the TT period, so it’s important that we can give something back and look after the people who give so much of their time to others.

A huge thank you to Robinson's Fresh Foods for their generous donations through TT. Huge thanks also go to the Freemasons and to Harrison & Garrett Butchers for their donations and support. Your kindness helped us provide a great evening for the team and was very much appreciated.

Keeping our volunteers fed, supported and connected is an important part of maintaining morale during a busy deployment, and tonight was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to relax and enjoy each other’s company.

Thank you to all our volunteers for your continued dedication and commitment to supporting our island community 💚🚑

First race of TT26! Six laps to complete in the Superstock race and the action has just got underway with the first riders leaving the start line.

Our volunteers have already been on duty for several hours, preparing for every eventuality and working hard behind the scenes to help keep riders, teams and spectators safe.

We hope everyone enjoys an incredible day of racing and, most importantly, gets home safely.

Let’s go racing! 🏍️💚

Final day of practice and, although the weather has cooled slightly, the atmosphere around the course is still absolutely electric. Bikes are leaving the start line while our volunteers, who have already been on duty for several hours , are positioned around the course making sure racing can begin safely.

It’s an early start for all of them, heading out long before most people are awake in order to get into position and prepare for another busy day supporting the TT.

We only managed to grab a couple of photos today, but they perfectly capture the dedication of our team. Sarah-Jane is out on duty today after spending weeks tirelessly organising the rotas and a whole host of other tasks in the run-up to TT — no small feat and she still manages to keep smiling throughout it all.

Also out today is Matthew, one of our fantastic young adults who gives so much of his time behind the scenes. Whether preparing equipment, supporting operations, or out on the course helping keep people safe, he’s always ready to step up when needed.

A huge thank you to every one of our volunteers who continue to give their time, energy and commitment throughout TT. Your dedication keeps the event moving safely and smoothly, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Even though it’s a day off from racing, some of our volunteers have taken the opportunity to continue developing their skills and knowledge.

Today they joined a training session with MRMS, focusing on case studies, shared learning, and how professionals and teams can work together more effectively by sharing information and experiences.

It’s fantastic to have such strong connections and opportunities to learn from one another, helping keep everyone prepared and ready for whatever comes next. We’re delighted to be able to give both our local and visiting volunteers opportunities to share knowledge and experiences together.
