Support, Transition and Recovery Team

S.T.A.R.T work with people who access support from the Dorchester and Bridport Community Mental Health Teams. We offer support to people accross the central Dorset Locality, including Lyme Regis. We promote the value of paid emplo

yment, voluntary work, education, social inclusion and fitness as a means of promoting mental health recovery and sustaining both mental and physical health in the longer term. We look at people’s personal strengths and aspirations for recovery and collaboratively work with people, supporting them to identify and achieve their goals. We encourage those who access our service and inclusive groups to take on new challenges at a pace and a level tailored to each individual's needs. We encourage people to aim high and "see themselves differently".
