We at Peace for Sudan feel a deep joy after the collective Iftar we organized for asylum seekers in Doncaster yesterday, March 12, 2026. It was a day filled with hope, as many asylum seekers gathered around one shared table.
We truly witnessed the positive impact this gathering had on their spirits—they felt that they were not alone, but part of a caring and supportive community. Their hopeful presence, side by side, gave them a sense of belonging and reassurance. The attendees expressed their gratitude for this opportunity.
The presence of other organizations also added a special warmth, as they praised the spirit of solidarity that prevailed throughout.
We also distributed a few SIM cards to those who wished to connect with their families.
Thank you to everyone who was part of this beautiful day. We will continue to support one another and build bridges of hope together.

#نحن في منظمة Peace for Sudan نشعر بفرح عميق بعد الإفطار الجماعي الذي نظمناه لطالبي اللجوء في مدينة دونكاستر يوم امس 12 مارس/2026 ، لقد كان يوماً يفيض بالأمل، حيث اجتمع فيه عدد كبير من طالبي اللجوء على مائدة واحدة.
فقد لمسنا تأثير هذا اللقاء على نفسيتهم، وشعروا بأنهم ليسوا وحدهم، بل جزء من مجتمع داعم ومحب. كما أن حضورهم المفعم بالأمل، جنباً إلى جنب، منحهم شعوراً بأن لهم سنداً .وعبّر الحضور عن امتنانهم بهذه الفرصة. كما أن حضور المنظمات الأخرى أضاف دفئاً خاصاً، حيث أشادوا بروح التضامن التي سادت.
ايضاً قمنا بتقديم بعض شرائح الاتصال للراغبين وذلك بغرض التواصل مع ذويهم.
شكراً لكل من كان جزءاً من هذا اليوم الجميل، وسنستمر في دعم بعضنا البعض وبناء جسور الأمل معاً.
