Seeing our Kick Stars kit for the first time has made everything we’ve been working on behind the scenes suddenly feel very real. 🥹💙

We’re getting closer to welcoming our very first little session of Kick Stars ⚽🌈

There are just a few final things to put into place… and then it’ll be time to reveal that all-important first session date! 👀⭐

For lots of our SENfriends families, today marks the return to school, nursery or a brand-new setting. 💛

For some children it’s exciting for others, the change in routine, new faces and expectations can feel huge.
And to our SEN mums, dads and carers… you’ve got this too. 🫶🏼

You’ve spent the summer regulating, reassuring, entertaining, and probably worrying about things others don’t even have to think about.

You might feel relieved at the school gates. You might cry. You might spend all day watching your phone. You might do all three! 🙈

A difficult first day doesn’t mean it will be a difficult year.

The Community Centre has a special event taking place for the official opening of the Community Gardens 🌿🌸, so we’re taking a little break this week.

⚽ SENfriends Kick Stars is almost here! ⚽

We’ve been working behind the scenes on something extra special, and we’re getting SO close to launching our very first SENfriends Kick Stars sessions! ⭐

There are just a few finishing touches to put into place before we can reveal everything… including the finished look of our brand-new Kick Stars training kits! 👀⚽

One thing we’re really excited about is giving our Kick Stars the opportunity to have their very own personalised training kit, helping them feel part of the team while still enjoying football in the relaxed, inclusive SENfriends way. 💙

☀️ SESSION CANCELLED – TOMORROW ☀️
Unfortunately, due to the extreme heat, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s SENfriends session.

We’ve been monitoring the temperature in the hall and, even into the evening, it is remaining substantially high. We absolutely hate cancelling our sessions, but we know that some of our children can find it more difficult to regulate their body temperature, so their safety and comfort has to come first. 💛

💜 Family Support is still available

Although the session isn’t going ahead, Cara is still available to support families and carers by phone or email. This is a completely FREE service.

Whether you need help with DLA, benefits, accessing support or services, signposting, or you simply don’t know where to start, please get in touch and Cara will do her best to help.

Stay safe, keep cool and we’ll hopefully see you all very soon! 🌈💜

🐮🌞 We're so excited to be teaming up with Phab Doncaster for a fantastic inclusive trip to Boston Park Farm! 🌞🐷

Join SEN frienDs and Phab Doncaster for a private, relaxed farm session where everyone can explore, meet the animals, play and make wonderful memories together.

This is a brilliant opportunity for families, children and adults to enjoy Boston Park Farm in an inclusive, welcoming environment where everyone belongs. The session is fully accessible, open to all ages, and designed to be relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.
