Threads of Hope School Wardrobe Threads of Hope by Powerhouse! We take donations of school uniform and give them back out free to anyone in the community.

We currently stock uniform for Ridgewood and Donvalley, and colours for primary are red, royal blue and navy blue. We provide school uniforms for free to anyone in the DN5 community or if you have a child who attends a school in this area. We operate a no referral required so our help is available to all.

NEWS FLASH 📣

Now we’re getting settled in our lovely new home thanks to the amazing gang of volunteers who’ve given up their time to get us sorted, we’re ready to start branching out!

We can’t take on anymore primary school colours right now, but we’re going to take on two more high schools 🎉

We’ve decided to start collecting Hall Cross and McAuley as we don’t think there is anything in place for these two schools (that we know of - please do tell us if there is - we don’t want to step on anyone’s toes!)

Please can you share far and wide that we’re looking for donations of any unwanted branded items and as soon as we have some stock we’ll start giving it back out - free of charge as always 😄

Spring has been springing recently 🌼

Save your money on buying brand new and get yourself some free pre-loved uniform. Good for the planet and good on your purse!

We have red and blue gingham, black and grey shorts as well as the all year round uniforms.

After another morning of moving and now we’re fully in at Powerhouse Church. Still lots of organising and sorting to do but we can finally start operating business as usual again.

Thank you so much to Bev, Paige, Ryan, Norma, Tony and Julie who did an early start and gave up their mornings to make this happen today 🫶🏻

Next week we will make up all the requests, we have all the summer stock out so if you need any shorts skirts or gingham dresses please put your requests in now so we can sort them early next week.

We can now cover any primary school in Doncaster, but for jumpers and cardigans we only have RED, NAVY BLUE or ROYAL BLUE. We have Ridgewood and Delta high school uniforms.

All uniforms are free of charge, donations can be made if you really want to but completely not required.

Collection days for requests still TBC, but hoping to have a plan for this soon too.

After a very long afternoon moving we are (nearly!) fully moved in at Powerhouse Christ Church Doncaster 🤩 we have one more trip from storage, a lot of organising and furniture building to do but how exciting! Hopefully over the next few weeks it will start to take shape.

Thank you so much to Rich, Tim, Dorian, Chris & Jase from the church for all the heavy lifting this afternoon.

We can now take uniform donations at Powerhouse directly, you can pop in while the church is open 9am-3pm Tuesday - Saturday and there will be a basket to leave your donations in. Collections for requests will be set times, still TBC.

Please bear with me on the requests, they will all be sorted before the children are back at school. Thanks again for your patience with the move 💕

Wow what a day! BBC Sheffield put an on absolutely incredible afternoon and it was a privilege to be in a room full of people doing the most inspiring work 🥰

We need to take a minute for our Nicola Woodhouse - WINNER of the Volunteer of the Year Award. We are so proud of her. So so proud.

Nicola you whole heartedly deserve this 😀 thank you for everything you do for the School Wardrobe and the children we serve.

She even made it onto Look North tonight 👀 she’ll be too famous for us soon!

Eeee today is the day! You might remember a while ago we posted our about amazing Nicola being shortlisted as a finalist for BBC Radio Sheffield Volunteer of the Year Award 🤩

Today is the awards ceremony where the winner will be announced and so the School Wardrobe is off on a road trip with her to be her biggest cheer leaders! We’re off to get glammed up and have a fab evening celebrating some amazing people in our community.

Keep Nicola in mind today - she won’t admit it but I’m sure she’s pretty nervous. Good luck Nik Nak, you’re our winner always ❤️
