Diss and District Round Table is a club for young men aged between 18 and 45. We have some amazing social events lined up so drop us a message on Facebook.

We are looking for new members to join us twice a month for some fun, friendship and fundraising.

🍻𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐂𝐑È𝐂𝐇𝐄 – 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 🤣

Some clubs do black tie. We did loud shirts. 👕🔥

5 YEARS since 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐒 𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 was rechartered! 🎉 What started as a handful of lads giving it another go has grown into something we’re all really proud of, and what better way to celebrate than with the loudest shirts we could find.

The banter was relentless and the food from 𝐃𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐡𝐢 was absolutely top drawer 🍛🥘 A massive thank you to the team there for feeding (and putting up with) a table full of us.

Plenty of laughs, a few games put on by our Tabler James and the kind of night that reminds you why we do this. Here’s to the next 5 years 🍻

💚 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐋 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐇 𝐃𝐀𝐘 💚

“Alright mate?”
“Yeah, fine.”

We all say it a hundred times a week, usually without thinking, and usually on both sides of the conversation.

But “fine” can hide an awful lot. Work stress, money worries, a relationship falling apart, grief, loneliness, or just feeling a bit lost. Plenty of blokes carry all of that and still turn up, crack the jokes and get the round in.

That’s why we say ask twice.

The second “No, seriously, how are you doing?” is often the one that gets an honest answer. It costs you nothing and it might mean everything to the person on the other end.

At 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞, a big part of what we do is simple. We get lads out of the house, round a table and talking. Quiz nights, days out, a pint and a natter. None of it is therapy, but it’s a place where nobody has to sit on their own, and where someone will notice if you’ve gone quiet.

So this week:
📱 Message the mate you haven’t heard from in a while
☕ Get the kettle on or the first round in
👂 Listen more than you talk
🔁 And if they say “fine”… ask twice

And if you’re the one who’s not fine right now, that’s okay. Talking about it isn’t weakness. It’s the bravest thing you can do. There are people who want to listen:

The nights are getting darker.
The weather’s getting colder.

This isn’t a fighting game, but it is a sports game golfing⛳️ 🏌️‍♂️ and paddle boarding 🏄‍♂️; a racing game through 4x4 Blindfolded Driving 🛻 ; a first-person shooter through clay pigeon shooting 🎯; and an RPG when you could help us assist Santa around local areas 🎅

𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 🚙🙈

There are some activities where you probably shouldn't be driving a 4x4 while blindfolded.

Luckily, this is one of them. 😂

Recently, we put our trust in our mates, attempting to navigate a 4x4 without being able to see where we're going, and generally questioning why we thought this was a good idea.

And honestly, that's the point of Round Table.

You don't need to be an expert.

You don't need to know everyone.

You don't need to have a perfectly free diary or be the sort of person who loves networking.

You just need to fancy trying something different.

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘀 & 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 is a social group for men who want more than the same routine. We do activities, socials, charity work, community events and plenty of nights that are difficult to explain without photos.

If you're a lad 18-45, come along and give it a go.

Worst case: you have a laugh.

Best case: you find your new group of mates.
