Please head to our new page Diss Community Fridge Project for up to date information.

Since a change in arrangements for organising the community fridge several weeks ago, we have set up a new page from which we organise and promote ourselves.

We are still all about preventing food waste with the added advantage of helping some people who need assistance during this cost of living crisis. This project couldn’t have come into being at a better time.

We look forward to seeing you on our new page, so please go there and give us a like and a share and get us known to as many as possible.

We are very grateful to the “founding” group of people who got this project up and running with considerable hard work and persistence. Since they’ve now stepped down, we now look forward to taking the project onwards and upwards with some of our original volunteers and several new ones.

Please feel free to contact us via the new page or [email protected]

Many thanks…. Don’t forget to visit and like our new page via the link above 🙏

Hope this is useful information for someone.

Some positive news for our pockets and planet – some supermarkets have changed to a ‘Best before’ date on milk labels 🥛

We can now use our judgement on whether milk is still good to use, giving us a bit more time to use it up 🎉

(If you're unsure, you can always use the best before date as a cut off point.)
