Become a Mentor at Dingwall Academy!

Could you spare a little time to make a big difference in a young person's life?

After the summer holidays, Dingwall Academy will be looking for volunteer mentors to support and encourage pupils as they navigate school life, build confidence, and work towards their goals.

You don't need to be a teacher or have previous mentoring experience ,just a willingness to listen, offer guidance, and be a positive role model. Mentoring can be incredibly rewarding, and the impact you make can last a lifetime.

If you'd like to give something back to your local community and help young people reach their potential, we'd love to hear from you.😃

For Volunteer's week (1st-7th June), we are spotlighting the incredible support our pupils get from Volunteer mentors with MCR Pathways.

Volunteer mentors build confidence, awaken ambitions, expand future horizons and help a young person get back on track.

MCR Pathways is a mentoring charity supporting young people at Dingwall Academy. MCR Pathways volunteer mentors provide support for any young person who may need that extra bit of support, or are finding school difficult to deal with.

They meet to support a young person at the school for 50 minutes per week, and help provide improvements in: Motivation, commitment and resilience; by providing a supportive trusted-adult to talk to.

We are looking for volunteer mentors at Dingwall Academy! Do you have 50 minutes a week, during term time, to help support a young person in school?
Become a volunteer mentor in a local secondary school in the Highlands and Islands and be that extra support, listening ear and champion for a young person. Mentoring builds confidence, awakens ambitions and expands future horizons. Mentors don't need prior experience, it's all about being yourself.

Mentoring through MCR Pathways is about building confidence, raising aspirations, and offering encouragement to pupils who can benefit from an extra supportive adult in their lives.

As a mentor, you can:

-Offer encouragement, listening, and guidance
