After an early Sunday morning swim, some members of Didcot Plus headed out to the Bovington Tank Museum.

Others decided to stay more local and complete the woodland walk and quiz on site.

Another great was had by all, and we will miss Hoburne Bashley.

Lovely sunny day here on our Spring break at Hoburne Bashley with Plus. We always pick a great weekend to stay at Hoburne Bashley, and always enjoy our local trips to the coast, from Barton-on-sea to Boscombe to Bournemouth.

Spring is Springing, and we are leaping into it.

Didcot members have been out and about in recent weeks as the programme gets underway, and into full swing.

Some of us have been to Root One Garden Centre (https://root-one.co.uk/) and had afternoon tea at Huffkins Bakery & Tea Rooms (https://huffkins.com/pages/witney-cafe-bakery), covering the length and breath of Oxfordshire.

Next weekend, we have our spring break at Hoburne Bashley and we are looking forward to meeting up with other groups in Plus.

Hi all,

Didcot Plus Social Group met at our usual venue on Thursday for our AGM (please find the notes below).

We had a very productive discussion about the year ahead, with plenty of new ideas thrown into the mix (including a focus on and ) and a push for some events to make it into the programme. We are looking forward to seeing our members out and about, in support of these activities, and acting as ambassadors for Didcot Plus.

We have planned to meet again in July (date TBC) to see how we are getting along, so we do hope that you can join us.

1. Opening remarks: Welcome all, thank you for attending.
2. Apologies for absence: None.
3. Election of Tellers:
a) Establishment of voting strength: 4. Attending Craig, Lauren, Adrian, Tina, Colin.
4. Minutes of last meeting:
a) Acceptance of minutes of last meeting: Accepted.
b) Matters arising from the minutes: None.
5. Secretariat reports:
a) Chairman: Successes - attendance at National and Area events, and of course Group ones, regular meetings, regular events, full programme albeit lagging/not advertised in advance, page, regular e-mails.
b) Administrator: Formal / covered above. Minutes taken.
c) Treasurer: Incremental membership increase to 14 now, Group net worth increase.
d) Activities: Full programme, events to look forward to Brean? Duxford, Bovington, Cornerstone free music, board games, book club, wellness events; walking, cycling, swimming, meditation. Oxford museums e.g. Pitt Rivers, Cogges, Coombe Mill, Blenheim Palace. Bourton on the Water, Cornwall.
e) General: Formal.
6. Elections:
a) Chairman: Craig Bunyan. Proposed Lauren, second Tina. Elected unanimous.
b) Administrator: Lauren Crawley. Proposed Adrian, seconded Colin. Elected unanimous.
c) Treasurer & Membership officer: Tina Bunyan. Proposed Craig, seconded Adrian. Elected unanimous.
d) Activities: Adrian Barnard. Proposed Lauren, seconded Craig. Elected unanimous.

7. Matters for debate: Bi-AGM introduced, passed. Late July next Bi-AGM. To do list, Adrian to get new printer set up. Posters designed/printed. Programme compilation and regular e-mail. Craig laminations. Tina T-shirts. Lauren minutes.
8. Date, time, venue for next meeting: Thursday evening in late July 2026, Station Garden, Didcot.

We will be back in the new year, with more posts and more adventures.

Usual venue, Station Garden Didcot, where we joined together for one last meal of the year and sampled the amazing three course festive menu.

On Friday, Didcot Plus enjoyed their monthly meal in Reading, this time at The World Turned Upside Down. The carvery had an excellent choice of veg and a good portion of meat. We all piled our plates high, and ordered the extra pigs in blankets!

I am sure this will become the venue of choice for our monthly meal slot.
