After a week of sunshine, the forecast says rain tomorrow… but we say PERFECT weather for an adventure 🍃💧

Join us across the Waterside this Saturday 30 May for Nature Art Explorers — a full day of playful outdoor creativity for children, families, and curious minds of all ages.

From nature mandalas and woodland face-making to crafting your own natural paintbrushes, we’ll be transforming parks and green spaces into a living gallery made from leaves, sticks, stones, flowers, and imagination 🌼🪵✨

Whether you join us for one workshop or follow the full trail across the Waterside, this is all about getting outdoors, meeting people, making memories, and creating something beautiful together — whatever the weather.

🎬 TONIGHT at 6PM — A Special Outdoor Cinema Screening at Woodburn Urban Park 🍿🧺

Join us for Playtime (1967) by Jacques Tati as part of the Waterside Together festival, a shared green spaces PEACEPLUS project.

A witty and visually brilliant satire of modern public spaces, Playtime transforms into a joyful celebration of how people interact, wander, observe, and connect. Almost entirely wordless, the film invites audiences to become active participants — choosing which stories to follow among the humour and chaos of everyday life.

✨ Blankets will be provided, so get cosy, grab a bucket of popcorn, and enjoy this unique outdoor cinema experience under the evening sky.

🌿 Happening TOMORROW from 12:30pm at Ebrington Green 🌿

Join us for Lunchtime in the Park — an afternoon of creativity, movement, and connection in the heart of the Waterside.

Take in the beautiful views of Lough Foyle and the city we love while enjoying:

✏️ Slow Drawing with artist Cara Donaghey (12:30–2pm)

☯️ T’ai Chi with Feel Free T’ai Chi (2:30–3:30pm)

There’ll be shade provided for participants, but you’re also very welcome to soak up the sunshine while you take part ☀️

Refreshments will also be available throughout the afternoon.

No booking required — just call down and join in. All ages welcome.

🌿 Happening Tomorrow Morning | 10:30am – 12:30pm 🌿

👋 Meeting at: Spar, 16 Rossdowney Road

Take a step towards better wellbeing and join us for our guided Waterside Wellbeing Walk — a gentle 3.54km loop from Woodburn through to Kilfennan Valley Park, turning just above Nelson Drive.

This relaxing walk is all about slowing down, enjoying nature, and focusing on mental health and wellbeing. Along the route, there will be simple breathing exercises and mindful pauses to help you relax, reset, and reconnect with the outdoors.
Suitable for all ages and abilities, this is more than just a walk from A to B — it’s an opportunity to unwind, feel good, and enjoy walking together.

☀️ With warm weather expected, please remember to bring a water bottle and wear sun cream to stay hydrated and protected during the walk.

🚗 Free parking is available at Kilfennan Presbyterian Church.

As part of the Waterside Together project, the walk also encourages people from all communities to explore and enjoy the beautiful green spaces across the Waterside, highlighting them as welcoming places for everyone. 💚

Our walk will be led by Nuala McKeever of Northstar Wellbeing. Nuala is a passionate Wellbeing Coach who loves helping people live happier, healthier lives through connection with nature.
