We are proud to share that our Projects Coordinator, Jonah Atos, recently facilitated a wonderful session celebrating and sharing Philippine culture as part of the Around the World in 6 Weeks project by Foyle Women’s International Network (FWIN). 🇵🇭✨

A huge thank you to all the lovely women who attended the session. Your enthusiasm, participation, and curiosity made the event truly special — from asking thoughtful questions, trying on Filipina national outfits, to joining in the fun and dancing to Dayang Dayang! 💃

Special thanks as well to Anna and the team at FWIN for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful and inspiring project. We are grateful to contribute and share the richness of Filipino culture with the community. Jonah Yap Atos

Ethnic diversity community representatives had a really insightful time attending the FatCheckNI session led by Dr Orna Young. The discussion shed light on how misinformation spreads and, more importantly, how we can all play a role in challenging it.

It was eye-opening to explore practical tools for verifying information and understanding the impact of false narratives in today’s digital world. Sessions like this are a great reminder of the importance of critical thinking and responsible sharing online.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn and engage in such an important conversation. Thank you North-West Community Network for organising this training✨️💚 Jonah Yap Atos

A heartfelt thank you to Gary, Keith, and James from the Policing & Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) for delivering such an informative and engaging Home Safety Session to Kabalikat in the North West. The practical advice you shared—from crime prevention reporting and contact numbers—has empowered everyone who attended with the knowledge and confidence to take simple but effective steps toward a safer home environment.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of the support and resources available. If you would like more information about home safety or to arrange a session in your area, please reach out to your local PCSP team or contact your local council office. In case of non-emergency concerns, you can contact the police on 101, and always dial 999 in an emergency.

Thank you North-West Community Network for supporting us to organise this event and helping us build a safer North West for everyone. 💙

See you tomorrow night 29th April for our Home Safety session at Foyle Arena's party room at 6.30pm .
