Anita Delivery Chooses Foyle Hospice as Charity of the Year

Local delivery business Anita Delivery has announced Foyle Hospice as its Charity of the Year for 2026, marking the beginning of a new partnership aimed at supporting vital hospice care across the community.
Anita Delivery has introduced an optional donation feature within its delivery app. Customers placing orders will have the opportunity to add a donation to Foyle Hospice at their online checkout. In a further show of support, Anita Delivery has pledged to match the total amount raised by customers.

Speaking about the partnership, Joseph McVeigh – owner of Anita Delivery said:
“I am proud to support Foyle Hospice as our Charity of the Year for 2026. Their work has a huge impact on families in our community, and we wanted to make it easy for our customers to get involved. By matching donations, we hope to double the difference we can make together.”

Kathleen Bradley (Corporate Support Fundraiser) from Foyle Hospice added:
“We are incredibly grateful to Anita Delivery for choosing to support Foyle Hospice. Partnerships like this help ensure we can continue providing compassionate care and support to those who need us most.”,

The partnership will run throughout the year, with fundraising efforts promoted through the Anita Delivery app and social media channels.

QUIZ TONIGHT

Hi Everyone

The Men's Support Group is running a quiz TONIGHT Sunday the 18th May, upstairs in Sandinos bar at 6.45pm to raise some money as we are completely voluntary.

EVERYONE WELCOME.

Quiz Kings have very kindly offered to do the quiz for us. The guys are great craic doing the quiz, we are all guaranteed a laugh and possibly having to do something silly for extra points for our teams lol.

Admission is £5.00 per person, just pay at the door.

The number of players in your team is entirely up to you.

RAFFLES: We will be holding a couple of raffles for some great prizes. (£1 and £2 for a strip of 5 tickets depending on the prize). We have loadsa vouchers for places around the town, for eats, haircuts, gym membership, as well as a couple of amazing gift boxes, one for him and one for her.

So please come along and support our quiz and help us raise some funds, as The Men's Support Group is a totally voluntary group of Men who meet every day in venues / cafes in the town to support men who may be struggling.

Thanks to all the local businesses below who very kindly donated all the amazing prizes for our raffles.

DAY 4 STATIC CYCLE IN RICHMOND CENTRE

Hi guys

Day 4 of Flick's cycling (static bike) inside the Richmond Centre centre to raise money for Street Soccer is on today (Saturday) from 12 noon - 5pm.

Call up if ur about and lend ur support.

There is also a fitness challenge where Street Soccer are looking for the strongest guy and girl in derry who can do a 1 minute plank followed str8 away by doing as many press-ups in a minute as you can. Yesterday a guy did 85 push-ups (we may have to not count his as what are the chances of any of us beating that lol) and the girl winner is still 43 from last week.

£1 per go.

Can anyone beat them?

Great craic with this last weekend.

There will also be a smartest guy and girl element today. You will be given a long word and you have 1 minute to make as many shorter words out of it as u can.

£1 per go.

C'mon down and challenge yourself and raise money for a great cause.
