Happy Mother’s Day to all the mas, mammies, mums, nannies and grannies across our community, and we also take a moment to remember the mammies who are no longer with us but will always be in our hearts 💐

This year the EYF Friday Night Girls Group wanted to do something small to show their appreciation for the amazing mammies around us. With the small budget they had, the girls bought flowers and spent the weekend delivering them to 50 local mammies and grannies.

While the budget only stretched so far, the girls wanted it to be a gesture of appreciation for all the mammies in our community and everything you do day in, day out.

From everyone at Enagh Youth Forum, we hope all the mammies, nannies and grannies have a wonderful and well-deserved Mother’s Day. 🌸💖

A massive well done to the Faughan Youth Bank Assessment Panel who met last night in St Columb’s Park House to review the final round of applications from young people across the rural Faughan DEA seeking support for small community projects.

It was fantastic to see such commitment from the panel and such creativity and passion from young people right across the area.

A big thank you as well to Denise and Dominic from Youth Action for facilitating the session and supporting the young people throughout the process.

This marked the final round of applications, and we are now looking forward to bringing together all of the Faughan Youth Bank beneficiaries at a YouthLinks FYB Project Celebration Event taking place later in April.

Stay tuned for more details – we can’t wait to celebrate the amazing ideas and projects being led by young people in our communities! 👏

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day and recognise the massive contribution of women and girls within our community.

At Enagh Youth Forum, we are proud of the many young women, youth workers, volunteers, mothers, grandmothers and community leaders who help shape and support the lives of young people every day. Your strength, care, leadership and resilience make a real difference.

We remain committed to creating safe, supportive spaces where girls and young women can grow in confidence, develop their potential and have their voices heard.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing women in our community. 💜

✅A big thank you and well done to all the young people who participated in our Feel Good February programme.

Activities throughout the month included Greenway walks, a keep fit class, indoor football, mindfulness and relaxation workshops, the Mood Matters programme and a bicycle repairs workshop. Last night the young people enjoyed some well-deserved pizza to round things off!

Feel Good February was delivered in partnership with Strathfoyle Youth Centre (EA) and Enagh Youth Forum, and was supported by The National Lottery Community Fund and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.

Big thanks also to all the project facillitators Eamon Dunlop, Tracy McCann, Aware NI and The Bike General. Well done to everyone involved.

Cuts of 64% to the Local Growth Fund, due to take effect from 1 April 2026, will have a profound and damaging impact on the people who rely on employment programmes, as well as on local services, the economy, and wider community wellbeing.

The consequences will be felt across Northern Ireland, but the North West will be hit particularly hard. Derry and Strabane already experience some of the highest levels of economic inactivity in Northern Ireland, significantly higher than the UK average; Meaning these cuts will deepen existing inequalities and undermine efforts to support people into work.

A number of organisations in Derry are hosting a Day of Action in the Guildhall Square, on 5 March 2026 from 1pm – 2pm. The aim of the event is to highlight the impact of the cuts in the Local Growth Fund, and to urge the UK Government to reverse the capital and revenue cuts.
