🌺Bamford School Plant Fair Saturday 16th May 26 10-12.00
🌼Take your plant donations to the School Garden on Friday evening 15th May after 5 pm or before 10 on Saturday 16th.
🌿 All plants are welcome: perennials flowers, annuals, shrubs, vegetables, fruit and house plants.
🌿Important: Please label all pots with the name of the plant.
🌺You can swop your plants for others or buy plants for a small donation to School Funds. It's great fun - there are some very good gardeners in Bamford and we never know what plants will arrive!
🌼The main event is from 10-12.00 on 16th but plants will remain in the garden for the weekend with donation buckets available and info about e-payments.

Our Natural Wreath-Making Afternoon is on Saturday 6 December. We use a willow ring, local evergreens, berries, etc and a raffia bow (no plastic, metal or wire is needed). You can add items of your own eg. sprigs from your garden, special ribbon etc. At Moore Hall, Brentwood Rd 2-5 pm. £10 members, others £15, refreshments included. Email [email protected] to book.

Events coming up soon:
🌱 Seed Swop, 'Showing Vegetables' and AGM
Saturday 12th April, 2 - 4pm Moore Hall, Brentwood Road
Come along to our Seed Swop and Share, everything is free. An opportunity to try something new and advice on growing seedlings. Our very own Garry is a qualified National Vegetable Society Judge and is pleased to give us a talk on preparing fruit and vegetables for showing. This will be followed by our AGM.

🌱Bamford School Plant Fair

🚌Coach Trip, Breezy Knees Garden, Warthill, York Tues 22nd July
“The Flower Garden of Yorkshire”. A privately owned 20 acre garden recently featured in Monty Don's British Gardens on BBC2. 7000 different varieties of flowers, shrubs and trees, wildflower meadow, cafe and a nursery selling plants. Entry Fee £12.50 (at the time of writing). Coach price approximately £20, dependent on number of travellers. Please book your seat asap.

Classes: fruit and vegetables, flowers, flower arranging, pot plants, baking, preserves, arts, crafts, children's classes. Photography themes: Arches; Insects etc; Water.

Bamford Primary School plant sale. Saturday 22June, main sale from 10 - 12, plants will remain in school garden until Sunday 23rd along with buckets for donations. Please take any young plants, divisions etc you can donate to the school garden after 6 on Friday 21st or early on Saturday morning. There will be snapdragons and tomatoes for sure☺️. There are some small cotoneaster shrubs, teasel, geranium and more from the last sale. All donations in support of the school.

TWO APRIL EVENTS: Saturday 13th April 2pm Seed Swop and Tuesday 23 April Coach trip to RHS Bridgewater.
13 April: Seed Swop/Giveaway, Garden Chat and AGM 2pm at Moore Hall, Brentwood Road
We have some spare seeds to give away, so come and see if there are any you would like to grow. Bring seeds to swop, if you have any, have a chat with local gardeners and allotmenteers. Our Annual General Meeting will follow at 2:50, if you wish to stay. Free event.
Tuesday 23rd April Coach trip to RHS Bridgewater Garden, Worsley, Salford. Visit RHS Bridgewater Garden to see the spring blossom and flowers, see RHS Bridgewater Garden web site for more information on the garden. Coach leaves Bamford at 9:00, departs Bridgewater at 3:30pm £20.00 per person (includes coach travel and entry to the garden).
