This week we've been crafting autumnal rag wreaths using different textures including chunky yarn, denim, cotton and vinyl

Creative Health Workshops for Autistic and Neurodivergent Women 18+. Free, fully funded sessions, warmly welcoming to trans sisters and non binary folks.

SHE Creates Anyway is on pause for one week returning on Thursday 20th August at Derby QUAD in Studio 2 at 11am till 1pm
We will now be based in QUAD weekly at the new timeslot of 11-1

It’s been a busy morning growing this Yayoi Kusama inspired bouquet collection 🪷🌺

We’re taking a little break to recharge next week but will be back in our new home at QUAD Derby Studio 2 on the first floor, Thursdays 11-1 🫟 as of Thursday 20th August ☕️

QUAD is a fully accessible building with cafe, gallery space and toilets on the ground floor. Studio 2 is accessible by stairs or lift from the hallway on the left as you walk in and there are also toilets upstairs.

Exploring different techniques, our own ideas, patterns, shapes and colours, these vibrant florals will definitely brighten up homes and workspaces

Where is our community at??!! 🫣🫣🫣

Surprisingly, we have not had the response anticipated for our SEND and Home Educated Prom. We have tried schools, specialist provisions, home education networks and local charities and groups in order to get this widely publicised. You name it, we've tried it! 😔

It is open to anyone over the age of 13. We have a number who have confirmed their attendance, so we really don't want to let these young people down, but we do need to reach our minimum number for the event to go ahead. This event is designed for any young person who was or will be unable to attend a formal school prom. SEND and Home Educated children also deserve to experience this incredibly popular rite of passage.

So, please can you all share and shout about it as loud as you can because despite our best efforts, we are seeing very little interest. This is heartbreaking for us because we truly do want to host this event and so many people have volunteered their time and services.

We are extending the deadline for expressions of attendance to 5PM MONDAY 3RD AUGUST. If you would like you child to attend then please message the inbox us with their full name and any dietary/allergy requirements.

Thank you everyone and let's make this work for the young people and Emma's Emporium.

Also, as you have seen we have had a number of prom dresses donated, so if you are worried about the additional costs we will do our best to even kit you out for the event ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.
