Through its program of activities, the scout movement encourages Scouts to be
friendly, tolerant and helpful towards others. The Scouts "Stamp and Deliver" scheme provides a delivery service to those
purchasing our stamps. At the same time financial support is given to local
organizations which rely on voluntary contributions to operate successfully. The success of the Scheme is determined each y

ear by the number of stamps sold. Between 1982 and 2009 £91,042.12 has been raised for these nominated Charities,
this being 10% of all the money raised from the sales of our special stamps over
that period. A Cheque for £4,400.00 was presented to representatives of the Derbyshire. Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance service during a ceremony last March in the Mayor's Parlor in Derby. The remaining 90% after deductions of Central running costs has been shared between the participating Scout and Guide Groups to run worthwhile program's of activities
