THE PLOT THICKENS 🎬🫛

Action packed and super exciting day at the plot, starting to build our Pergoda and outdoor kitchen thanks to top man Richie and awesome volunteers Pixel, Rich, Katy, Tommy and Alice. 🪏

Rita and Simon harvested good for tomorrow's Oktober fest stew with Alex making a magnificent Apple crunch with fresh local apples donated by friend Sarah and her Church group. 🍏

Had a big meeting with Jo from the Derby Nature Collective and received some VERY VERY good news to be announced soon. ✨

Managed to push our volunteers car out the ditch and had a wonderful Free Food Friday thanks to Finlay, Rita and Miriam. ✊

We're serving tasty, organic, locally grown vegan food at Oktober Fest at Derby Market Hall tomorrow between 12 - 3 so pop by and say hi

HELP US GROW 🦠🌱✊

Our roots now reach across more of Derby, and we’re being invited to help shape what happens across the city.

We’re contributing to Derby’s journey towards becoming a Sustainable Food Place, supporting communities benefit from Pride in Place funding, and have been invited to join Derby Nature Collective.

With these opportunities comes a need for more people to share in guiding TMV’s future.

People who believe in what it means to village. Who care for people, place and planet and want to turn that care into action.

As a Director, you’ll help decide what we take on, how we support our volunteers and how we put Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share into practice.

You’ll bring your own perspective, build relationships and help turn shared decisions into work we can deliver together.

We’re looking for passionate people who listen, communicate, follow through and are willing to learn and share responsibility.

You’ll need a few hours each week—or the equivalent across the month—and be able to take part regularly in person in Derby.

These are unpaid roles for committed changemakers who understand the value and importance of Thrivemind Villages activities, opportunities & potential.

Could we grow together?

Get in touch at www.thrivemind.eco for more info and next steps

We believe that together we can thrive through crises.

It takes a village.

MARKETING CAN FEEL GOOD? ✌️

A fully nourishing day had but all at Thrivemind Village with highly esteemed brethren Tad Hargrave on UK Tour sharing his philosophy of ethical marketing and breathing much beauty back into the marketplace.

People travelled from as far as Norfolk to learn with Tad as his 20+ years developing a telly impressive breadth and depth of work that's unparalleled on the subject.

Was a bit deal hosting his visit and the perfect end to a very busy week for TMV serving the community.

Together, we can thrive thru crises ✊

WE GREW!!! 🫶🍅🫛🥔🍠🍲

We're so proud and excited to be offering two beautiful food services this weekend.

Tomorrow we're at Derby Market Hall for Derby Festé with Finlay, Neelam & Bharathee preparing a beautiful homegrown organic Pumpkin, Chickpea and Coconut Curry with Quinoa.

Then we are super honoured to welcome our brother from Canada Tad Hargrave to little ol' Derby for his top tier Marketing For Hippies 101 workshop on Sunday which almost sold out.

Big thanks to Louise for popping by to our plot this morning to chat BIG food revolution plans and helped harvest Nasturtium flowers.

Such a lovely equinox weekend!!!

Tell ya friends 🥳

RIGHT TO GROW DERBY?

I've just come out of back to back meetings chatting about all the incredible sustainable food work taking place across Derby.

Was well chuffed to see TMV get Right To Grow on the agenda and it on the tips of tongues alongside all the other awesome ideas and developments partners across the city are bringing to the mix.

What do you reckon? 🤔

Would it be good if everyone had the right to grow?

You got any spots in mind? ⛳

What would you grow? 🫛🍅🥕🍆

Who with? How? 🙋🪱🐝

What would you need? 🗺️

Please comment below and get in touch with your ideas about how we might best grow Derbys Food Revolution! 👇

Big thanks to all partners pushing in these more radical and regenerative directions ✊

Happy Autumn Equinox 🍂

Today, light and dark meet as equals, the world turns, we begin looking in. 🌓

Plants push energy into roots, storing strength for what's ahead. We take heed. 💪

This season asked a lot of us ; renovation fallout, heatwaves, hub disruptions and a bereavement that left a huge void in TMV's team. ❤️‍🩹

Though our inspiring volunteers, in solidarity, kept us going. ✊

We're so proud and grateful to all of them, especially sticking with us and committing to our cause and vision despite times getting tough for us.🙏

So as the trees shed their leaves, nourishing the soil for new growth, so do we. ♻️
