Joanne is a milliner who exemplifies the definition of, ‘a skilled artisan who designs, creates and sells, custom made high quality hats for all special occasions and everyday wear’
By using traditional techniques like blocking and shaping, plus materials such as sinamay ( check the definition) and, with an artistic, professional eye Joanne explained and described her journey to ‘headwear’
Thank you Joanne for such an engaging talk.

Susie Konowalik talked to Ticknall22 WI about her journey and ordeal to be where she is now. What came across to all of us was her optimism and determination to keep her donor’s memory alive ( and that of the family) by being able to take part in, not just the British Transplant Games but also the World Transplant Games where she has been very successful.
We were overwhelmed.
It’s a very sensitive topic. But made me, and many others rethink about if we were in the situation of becoming an organ donor, and the family, or becoming a recipient and the family.
Thank you Susie. Keep going, you are an inspiration to us all.
