AUTUMN MEETING 2026
Report and Results

------------

It was a glorious day at Vale of Llangollen GC yesterday 20th September; not too hot; not too cold; not too breezy; simply a perfect day to spend in the stunning Valley of Llangollen.

With a full tee sheet, we entertained 52 pairs from just before 10am until just after 2pm and the feedback from players was that everyone enjoyed a great day, irrespective of the quality of their play.

We give the Vale of Llangollen Golf Club our most sincere thanks for allowing us the use of their course and facilities – and we trust that their bar and kitchen was suitably supported across the day.

RESULTS

There were many cards in the high 30's.... but that was not enough. Here were a few cards for 40 & 41 & 42 points..... but still not quite 'there'.

Whilst there was a clear winner, the places between 2nd and 5th were decided on the back 9 scores......

After close scrutiny and verification, the results are in:

1st Place: Paul Wallace-Jones & Alan Barnsdale (Clays) 45 pts
2nd Place: Andy Barnett & Dave Grundy (Llangollen) 43 pts (23 Back 9)
3rd Place: Dave Evans & Les Waddell (Moss) 43 pts (22 Back 9)
4th Place: Tegid Phillips & Haydn Owen (Denbigh) 43 pts (20 Back 9)
5th Place: Luke Shepherd & Peter Johnson (Plassey) 43 pts (19 Back 9)

Congratulations to the winners and your prize vouchers will be emailed later this week, direct to the lead player who provided his email address at point of entry.

We thank everyone for their support of this annual fixture and look forward to greeting you again next year at our Spring meeting.

Look out for the publicity in the New Year.
