Name: Faith
Breed: Miniature Dachshund
Age: 6 years
S*x: Female
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Untested
Good with children: Yes 10yrs +
Time to be left: Short period

Faith is a very sweet and cuddly little girl who loves her humans and enjoys nothing more than being close to them. She is an affectionate, loving girl who will happily curl up beside you and soak up all the attention. Unlike many dachshunds, Faith is not a barky girl, making her a lovely, easy-going companion. She gets on well with other dogs and could happily live with another dog, but she doesn't need a canine companion in her new home. What Faith really wants is a loving family who will include her in their lives and give her plenty of cuddles and companionship. Faith walks well on the lead and enjoys getting out for her walks. She is housetrained, although she may occasionally try a sneaky wee indoors if it's raining — apparently she's not a fan of getting her little paws wet! She also travels well in the car and is generally a very easy girl to have around. Faith would make a wonderful companion for a loving home looking for a sweet, affectionate little dachshund to share their lives with. Faith is microchipped, neutered and up to date with flea and worm treatments. Faith comes with full rescue back-up for the rest of her life.

All dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flead and microchipped.

Please fill in an Adoption Application if you feel you are able to offer this dog their perfect home! https://www.foddogrescue.org.uk/faith

Good with cats: Untested
Good with children: Adult only home

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Peppa is a lovely 1½-year-old Shih Tzu Cross who has come such a long way since arriving in rescue. When she first came to us she was very nervous of people, but with patience, kindness and reassurance she is slowly learning that humans can be trusted. Once Peppa knows you are one of the good guys, she blossoms into a sweet and affectionate little dog. She will happily come over for a fuss, a stroke and, of course, a tasty treat – treats are definitely the way to her heart! Peppa loves her walks and walks beautifully on the lead. She travels well in the car, is fully housetrained and is not at all destructive in the home. She has settled in wonderfully with her foster buddies and has become very attached to her foster mum, showing just how loving and loyal she can be once she feels safe. As such a young dog, Peppa has a playful side and really enjoys the company of other dogs. Because of this, she is looking for an adult-only home with another friendly, confident dog to help continue building her confidence and to be her playmate. Peppa will need a patient family who are happy to let her settle at her own pace, but the rewards are enormous. Once she trusts you, she is an incredibly affectionate, loving little girl who forms a wonderful bond with her people. As Peppa has recently had a season, she will be rehomed on a foster-to-adopt agreement and will be neutered in October. Peppa is microchipped, and will be neutered in October and up to date with her flea and worm treatments. She comes with full rescue back up.

All dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flead and microchipped.

Please fill in an Adoption Application if you feel you are able to offer this dog their perfect home! https://www.foddogrescue.org.uk/peppa

Name: Georgie
Breed: Labrador
Age: 1 year
S*x: Female
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Untested
Good with children: Yes, 8+
Time to be left: Short periods

Georgie is a beautiful young black Labrador who is just one year old. She is a very playful, highly excitable and high-energy girl who is looking for an active and busy home where she will get plenty of exercise, attention and stimulation. Georgie is good with other dogs and could happily live as an only dog or with another playful dog who would enjoy her energy and enthusiasm. She is looking for a home that understands the needs of a young Labrador and is prepared to put the time into her training. She can be a little too excitable at times, so ongoing training and boundaries will be important for her. Georgie is around 90% house trained and travels well in the car. Training classes would be a great benefit for her, helping her learn good manners while also providing mental stimulation and strengthening the bond with her new family. She would suit an active home where someone is prepared to keep her busy and continue her training. In the right home, Georgie has all the potential to grow into a fantastic companion.
All dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flead and microchipped.

Name: Sophie
Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Age: 2 years
S*x: Female
Good with dogs: Yes, but prefers to be an only dog
Good with cats: Yes
Good with children: Adult only home
Time to be left: Short periods

Sophie is a gorgeous 2-year-old Cavalier who is looking for a special home where she can be thoroughly spoilt, just as she feels she deserves! She can be worried when she first meets you, but once she gets to know you, her cheeky and playful personality really comes out. Sophie is okay with other dogs but would much prefer to be the only dog in her new home, where she can have all the attention to herself. She is fine with cats and would prefer an adult-only home.

Sophie came into rescue due to issues with IBS. Since being with us, we have kept her on a strict hypoallergenic diet and she has had no problems. Her new family will need to continue with this diet to help keep her tummy happy. Despite being a self-confessed spoilt lapdog with definite diva tendencies, Sophie is also an active girl who absolutely loves going for long walks. She would suit an active home where she can enjoy plenty of exercise and then come home and curl up on a lap. Sophie is house trained and travels well. She would benefit from further training and socialisation to help build her confidence and give her the skills she needs to thrive. Sophie is a lovely little character with plenty of personality. Once she trusts you, she is cheeky, affectionate and playful, and we are sure she will make a wonderful companion for the right home.
All dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flead and microchipped.

Breed: Staffie Cross
Age: 10 years

Good with dogs: Yes, but prefers to be an only dog
Good with cats: Untested
Good with children: Yes, 8+ but adult only home -full time.
Time to be left: Short periods
Kayla is a lovely 10-year-old Staffie cross who is a really sweet girl with plenty of life and fun still to offer. Despite being an older lady, Kayla is a very active and playful dog who absolutely loves her walks and enjoys getting out and about. Kayla is good with other dogs, but as she has never lived with another dog, we feel she would be happiest as the only dog in her new home, where she can have all the attention to herself. She is a very chilled girl and is not at all reactive when out on the lead, making her a lovely companion for walks. She does have one little habit to be aware of – if her lead is left on, she has a penchant for chewing it! Kayla is unsure about getting into vehicles, but once she is in, she travels really well. She would benefit from patient encouragement to help her become more confident about getting in and out. Although Kayla is fine with children aged 8+, due to her age we would prefer an adult-only home for her. She is an affectionate, easy-going girl who deserves a loving home where she can enjoy her walks, plenty of attention and all the comforts of retirement – although Kayla clearly hasn't read the memo about slowing down!
All dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flead and microchipped.

Good with children: Yes, 8+ yrs
Time to be left: Short periods

Kevin is a gorgeous 5-month-old Miniature Dachshund puppy with a sleek, shiny coat and a fun-loving personality. He is full of beans and loves to play, making him a great companion for an active family who are looking for a puppy to enjoy life with. Kevin is a friendly little boy who enjoys meeting people and gets on very well with other dogs. He loves his toys, especially anything he can chew, and will happily keep himself entertained before coming back for a fuss and cuddle. He walks nicely on the lead, travels well in the car, and is almost fully housetrained, with only the occasional accident as he continues to learn. Kevin is a bright youngster who will thrive with continued training, routine and plenty of positive encouragement. Kevin would love a home where he can continue to grow in confidence, enjoy lots of adventures and, most importantly, be a much-loved member of the family. As Kevin is still too young to be neutered, he will be rehomed on a foster-to-adopt agreement. Forest of Dean Dog Rescue will arrange and cover the cost of his neutering when he is old enough, after which the adoption will be finalised. Kevin is microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date with his flea and worm treatments.
