The Scouts took a visit to Rochester Airport last week as part of their air activities badge. They spent time in the control tower to understand how air traffic is kept safe and then learnt about thrust, lift and how aircraft fly. They got the opportunity to explore the hangers and see some really interesting one off airplanes. Our thanks to Kelvin the airport manager for such an interesting and illuminating tour!
