King's Furniture A lot has happened since that first informal act of kindness 8 years ago. After all, King’s furniture is not really about furniture, it’s about people!

King's Furniture, which is part of King's Church Darlington, is a furniture reuse scheme and charity shop set up to provide quality reused furniture, homeware, and more for our community. King’s furniture started when one person in the church tried to match up someone in the community who had a need for a piece of furniture with someone else who had some unwanted furniture. Last year we recycled o

ver 100 tons of furniture, helping 2,500 individuals and families and providing over 4,500 pieces of furniture! Although the scale is bigger now, we are still really doing the same thing – demonstrating God’s love and concern in a very practical way to people who have a need in our local community.
