Please read from Helen Rigg

Hi everyone, after a bit of flooding on the road on Friday night I spent some time yesterday clearing all the drains from the top of the footpath on Main Street, to the turn off for the Lighthouse, most were well and truly blocked. Could we please help each other, and especially those people who do tend to flood after every heavy rainfall at this time of year, by please checking any drains at the end of your properties, or any drain if your out and about on the Village, to ensure there clear of debris so the flood water has a chance to drain away and stop the flooding.
Thank you very much for your help.

**Announcement from Sandwith Village Group Committee**

After much consideration, the Sandwith Village Group Committee has made the decision to formally disband.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the group has been relatively inactive for several years. The committee was originally established over 20 years ago with a simple constitution and, during that time, we have been proud to organise many enjoyable events, activities and celebrations for residents of all ages. We have made some wonderful memories and would like to thank everyone who has supported the group over the years.

We feel that now is the right time to pass the baton. With the renewed buzz, enthusiasm and community spirit currently being shown by residents who are keen to see more events and activities in the village, this seems like the perfect opportunity for a new group to be formed and take things forward.

We wish any future community group every success and look forward to seeing Sandwith continue to thrive through the energy, ideas and commitment of local residents.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Sandwith Village Group's journey over the past two decades.

We will keep this page active until others can take it over.

We’ve been asked if anyone can recommend a good local gardener for a fellow villager? 🪏🪴🏡
